“Dok, pwede ba itigil ko na lang maintenance ko kasi baka masira ang kidneys ko kakainom ko ng gamot”

Kadalasan ganito ang scenario ng mga adult patients ko sa clinic, ayaw na nila magmaintenance e highblood at mataas pa man din ang sugar sa dugo.

Kaya ang lagi ko naman sagot sakanila:
Hindi pwede itigil‼️

Kaya nga maintenance kasi for life mo na siya iinumin, from the word maintenance e para ma-maintain ang level ng blood pressure at sugar sa katawan ng may Highblood/Hypertension at Diabetes.

Ang target na Blood pressure ay below 120mmhg (Systolic) at below 90mmhg (Diastolic) at Target Sugar naman ay 80-130mg/dl.

Kung lagi mataas ang BP at Sugar mas masisira ang organs (kidney,puso,brain)- pwede magka komplikasyon pa kapag hindi nakokontrol ang taas ng blood pressure at asukal sa katawan.

Hindi nakakasira ng kidneys ang paginom ng mga maintenance na gamot, mas nakakasira kapag hindi tayo uminom ng gamot para macontrol eto.

Ang dapat gawin!
1.Magtake ng maintenance na gamot
2.Imonitor ang BP at sugar sa bahay
3.Pwede naman iadjust ang gamot depende sa result pero dapat hindi eto ititigil
4. Lagi magfollow up sa doktor
5. Lifestyle modification
