Cold weather, air-conditioning, holiday parties, and too much talking can irritate the throat. You can protect it by:
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Avoid alcohol and smoke
✅ Limit loud or prolonged talking
✅ Use a scarf or mask in cold weather
✅ Consult a doctor if hoarseness lasts over two weeks

What Are Red Flags for Airway Obstruction?

Seek urgent medical care if you notice:
⚠️ Stridor (noisy breathing)

What Is Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

It’s a Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) where a child’s breathing stops or becomes shallow due to blocked upper airway (often from large tonsils/adenoids).

Signs include loud snoring, restless sleep, daytime sleepiness, and poor attention in school.
Diagnostics include upper airway endoscopy and polysomnography (sleep study).

Treatment may involve tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy or CPAP therapy.

What is Vertigo and How is it Treated?

Vertigo is a sensation of spinning or moving, even when you're still. It’s often caused by inner ear issues like BPPV, vestibular neuritis, or Meniere’s disease.

Treatment May Include:
✅ Balance exercises (vestibular rehab)
✅ Medications
✅ Epley maneuver (for BPPV)
✅ Treating the underlying cause

Many confuse dizziness and vertigo, but they’re not the same:

🔸 Dizziness: Feeling lightheaded, faint, or unsteady
🔸 Vertigo: A false sense that you or your surroundings are spinning

⚠️ Both can have different causes—from inner ear problems to low blood pressure or anxiety.

May kakaiba bang nararamdaman sa tenga, ilong, bungaga, lalamunan at leeg gaya ng mga sumusunod:
✅️Ear/tenga: barado, makati at masakit, pagkabingi, may lumalabas na nana
✅️Nose/ilong: barado, makati, masakit, laging sinisipon, nagdugugo
✅️Mouth/bunganga: bukol, sugat na hindi gumagaling
✅️Throat/lalamunan masakit, mahirap lumunok, may bukol, malaki ang tonsils, parang may nakabara na pagkain o plema, nawawalan ng boses or pamamaos
✅️Neck/leeg: bukol na lumalaki
✅️Face/mukha: nunal na lumalaki at kakaiba ang kulay at hugis, bukol sa pisngi, panga, likod ng tenga

Mabuting ipatingin or ipakonsulta habang maaga pa. Maging mapanuri, laging pangalagaan ang kalusugan upang buhay ay sisigla at hahaba.

What to do:
❌ Don’t get water in your ear
