Influenza is a serious problem for infants less than 6 months of age. It is a highly contagious virus that affect the respiratory system.

Since flu vaccines are not effective in this age group ( less than 6 months old), the best protection for your baby is to administer trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine during pregnancy. ❤️❤️❤️

Hepatitis B Vaccine is recommended for pregnant women who are at risk for the disease and have tested negative for the virus (HBs antigen) A series of three doses is required to have immunity. The second and third doses are given 1 and 6 months after the first dose.

Please remember that even if the mother receives the hepatitis B vaccine during pregnancy, her baby will have to be vaccinated after birth. The antibodies are not transmitted from the mother to her baby. So all babies should be vaccinated at birth. ❤️❤️❤️
