V. Luna Medical Center Department of Orthopaedics Celebrates 70 Years of Service

The VLMC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology was established in 1950 when the Victoriano Luna General Hospital was transferred along it’s present location Kamias, Quezon City. It was the time when the country was still recovering from the damages brought upon by the second world war. Orthopaedic Surgery became a section of the Department of Surgery headed by LTC BENVENUTO R DINO MC on January 13, 1954, LTC MOISES SANTOS MC was appointed as the 1st Chief of Orthopaedic Service. From then on, years of tradition and excellence transcending generations of orthopods were continued to provide quality and standard health care for our patients.
