June is National Dengue Awareness Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 1204 on April 21, 1998 by then President Fidel V. Ramos.

Pangalagaan ang sarili laban sa kagat ng lamok. 🦟
📍Suyurin at sirain ang pinamumugaran ng mga lamok. (Search and destroy breeding places.)
📍 Sarili ay protektahan laban sa lamok. (Self-protection measures.)
📍 Sumangguni agad sa pagamutan kapag may sintomas ng dengue. (Seek early consultation.)
📍 Sumuporta sa fogging/spraying kung may banta ng dengue outbreak. (Say yes to fogging/spraying in times of impending outbreak.)

The main job of your kidneys is to remove toxins and excess water from your blood.

Kidneys also help to control your blood pressure, to produce red blood cells and to keep your bones healthy. Each roughly the size of your fist, kidneys are located deep in the abdomen, beneath the rib cage.

Your kidneys control blood stream levels of many minerals and molecules including sodium and potassium, and help to control blood acidity. Every day your kidneys carefully control the salt and water in your body so that your blood pressure remains the same. (Excerpt from worldkidneyday.org)

In celebration of the 128th founding anniversary of the Philippine Army with the theme "Matatag na Hukbong Katihan para sa Bagong Pilipinas", Jecsons Medical Center is humbled and blessed to be part of the simultaneous blood donation activity held yesterday, March 7, at the Pambato Officers' Clubhouse, Camp O'Donnell, Sta. Lucia, Capas, Tarlac.

As these men in uniform continue to serve our nation wholeheartedly, courageously and selflessly, they were able to show other facets by giving 89,100 cc of blood from 351 donors generously and altruistically.

The blood-letting activity was a joint cooperation among Armor Pambato Division, Philippine Red Cross - Tarlac Chapter, Tarlac Medical Center and our institution. Indeed, together we are strong and with us your life in caring hands. 💚
