Your pets' health and happiness are our top priorities! "Awesome Pets Deserve Pawsome Care" Exciomo was in grade 3, she had a dog named Wilkins. Wilkins was not only her pet, but also her best friend. She was helpless when he got sick and begged her father to bring him to a veterinary clinic for help. Unfortunately, during those days, there was no veterinary clinics available and Wilkins was on his very last breath. Due this painful childhood experience, Dra. Exciomo strive towards excellence to become a Licensed Veterinarian in college. With this promise to Wilkins during the final hours long ago, a personal accomplishment was fulfilled - Licensed Veterinarian. With compassion and love for all kind of animals, a dream of having her very own veterinary clinic was forseen. Pawsome Pets Veterinary Clinic & Supply was born. Pawsome Pets Veterinary Clinic & Supply was founded and opened on November 4th 2013 by Dra. Erwinia B. Mendoza-Exciomo and Dr. John Beverson DG. It started on a 4 by 7 meters stall with very few supplies and limited services due to small space. It was tough learning how to operate a business and coping with difficulties. The most difficult part of business was learning how to retain clients from going to their competitors. Due to lack of funds, hiring extra helping hands was out of the picture. However, because of a childhood promise to Wilkins to never give up providing for his furry friends, Dra. Exciomo remained strong and overcome all obstacles despite sleepless nights. On September 28th, 2015 - determination, dedication, and hard work – paid off; Pawsome Pets grew it's client-base of loyal customers and relocated to a much more spacious space down the street from the original location. Now, Dra. Exciomo and Dr. Exciomo offers more professional services – surgeries, grooming, pet training, and educational seminars - and different varies of high quality pets supplies – Pet toys, pet foods, pet accessories - and vaccinations to all animals – mainly dogs and cats. If you consider your pet as family, there is no better place in town than Pawsome Pets. Visit them today and inquire about your pets first visit, you won't regret it.

Matted Hair Can Be Dangerous! 🚨

This little furbaby, Casper, was brought to us after her loving owner accidentally cut into her skin while trying to remove thick, matted hair at home. 💔
They decided to groom her themselves due to lack of time and the recent bad weather — wanting only to make Casper feel fresh and comfortable again. But sadly, the matted fur was already too close and tight to the skin, and the cut went deeper than expected.

💬 It’s something that can easily happen even to caring and well-intentioned owners — especially when mats are severe and fused to the skin.

🩺 Matted hair isn’t just tangled fur.
It can cause pain, trap moisture, hide wounds, and even pull on the skin surface. When attempting to remove it without proper tools and visibility, there’s a high risk of accidentally cutting the skin — particularly in small breeds with thin, delicate skin.

🙏 We truly appreciate Casper’s owner for acting fast and bringing her to the clinic right away.
Your quick decision and care made a big difference in her recovery. ❤️

💡 A gentle reminder for all pet parents:
When your pet’s fur becomes severely matted, it’s safest to have it handled by professionals. Groomers and veterinary teams have the right tools and experience to safely remove mats and check for hidden skin problems underneath.

Let’s continue to care for our fur babies with love — and seek help when needed. ❤️🐾
Because every act of care, even when things don’t go as planned, comes from a heart that truly loves. 💕

WARNING TO PET PARENTS ⚠️

This fur baby came in with nonstop drooling and mouth discomfort. The reason? A big piece of bone stuck inside the mouth! 🦴😟

Thankfully, the owner noticed the problem and took action right away—preventing further pain and complications. 💙👏

Bones may look like fun treats, but they can:
❌ Get lodged in the mouth
❌ Break teeth or injure gums
❌ Cause infections or blockages

👉 Please avoid giving cooked bones to your pets. If your dog shows signs like drooling, pawing at the mouth, or refusing to eat—have them checked immediately!

Big thanks to this pet parent for their quick response. 🐶💙 Together, let’s keep our fur babies safe!

The Gift of Care: Castration in Cats

Castration (neutering) is one of the most important decisions we can make for our feline companions. Beyond helping control the cat population, it comes with many health and behavioral benefits:

✔️ Healthier Life – Neutered male cats have a lower risk of reproductive cancers and infections.
✔️ Happier Home – It reduces spraying, roaming, and fighting, making them calmer and more affectionate companions.
✔️Longer Years Together – By lowering the risks of injuries and diseases, castration helps our cats live longer, healthier lives.

Most of all, choosing this procedure is an act of love—it means giving our pets the chance to live safer, more comfortable lives by our side. ❤️

We thank our pet parents for their trust and for showing such deep love and responsibility to their cats. Your care truly makes all the difference. 🐱💙

Buko Signing Off…

Yesterday, September 26, 2025, at 3:34am, our beloved Buko, at 15 years old, took his final rest. 💔

To many of you, he was more than just a dog—he was a teacher, a gentle soul, and a daily reminder that even the abandoned can still shine with love. To his former owner who left him years ago, know that Buko never lacked love—because he found a family here, and in every client, student, and friend who crossed his path.

No matter how much we wish, our pets’ lives are always too short. Buko taught us to cherish every wag, every look, every quiet moment. And now, we are forever thankful for the years he gave us.

To our once students who learned from him—may you carry his memory always. To our clients who stopped to greet him and share love whenever you saw him—thank you. You made his journey brighter.

And to our staff who cared for him every single day—thank you for giving Buko the comfort, love, and family he deserved until the very end.

Senior Buko, you may be gone, but your pawprints remain forever in our hearts. 🐾💛

Rest well, old friend... ❤️❤️❤️🐕

Yoda & Kuting’s Story: A Reminder About FLUTD in Cats

Recently, Yoda came to us after showing signs of difficulty in urinating—a serious condition that can quickly become life-threatening in cats. Just a few days later, another cat, named Kuting, was brought in with the very same problem.

Both were diagnosed with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), a condition that can cause painful urination, blood in the urine, frequent trips to the litter box, or sometimes even complete blockage. Male cats are especially at risk, and urgent care is always needed.

We are grateful to Yoda’s and Kuting’s owners ma'am Cherrilyn Catabay and Dr. C. Nerona together with their families for noticing the early warning signs and bringing them in right away. Their love, vigilance, and quick action gave these cats the best chance at recovery. ❤️

✨ FLUTD reminds us of how important it is to monitor our cats closely—changes in litter box habits are never to be ignored.

To Yoda and Kuting: keep fighting, little warriors. And to their fur-parents: thank you for loving them so well.

Cleo’s Labor Story 🐱💪

Cleo, a sweet mama cat from Mangatarem, Pangasinan, gave birth to 2 kittens naturally. What her family didn’t realize was that 2 more kittens were still stuck inside. For 24 long hours, Cleo continued straining as if still in labor.

Worried, her owners rushed her to their nearest clinic—who then referred Cleo to us for further intervention, a step that truly saved her life.

Ultrasound revealed that the kittens left inside had sadly passed away. To protect Cleo from going through this again, her loving family decided on an ovariohysterectomy (spay surgery).

Now Cleo is home and recovering well. 💕🐱 Some situations truly call for teamwork (follow your vet's referral), and thoughtful decisions like spaying can spare our pets from serious risks in the future.

🙏 Special thanks to her owner, Ma’am Alexa Petaca and family, for the love, care, and commitment to Cleo’s well-being. 🥰

Lucky’s Journey: A Story of Courage and Hope

Lucky’s life changed drastically just weeks ago when she faced a complicated fracture on her right hind limb that could no longer be repaired. During surgery, the damage was found to involve devitalized bone fragments—pieces of dead bone that had lost their blood supply and were no longer able to heal. With no chance of recovery, the only option left was amputation. It was a difficult decision, but Lucky showed remarkable strength. Now living on three legs, she has healed beautifully and proved that determination can overcome any challenge.

Her battle didn’t end there. Alongside her recovery, Lucky has been bravely fighting transmissible venereal tumor (TVT). Today, she returned for her 6th chemotherapy session, walking in with her tail wagging and spirit unbroken. Each treatment is another step forward in her journey of survival.

What makes her story even more inspiring is her beginning. Lucky was once a stray—alone, vulnerable, and without a home. Through adoption, she found not only shelter but also a family who treasures her deeply. From being unwanted on the streets to being truly cherished, Lucky’s life is now filled with the love she always deserved.

Though she may walk on three legs, Lucky stands tall as a symbol of courage, healing, and hope. She is more than a survivor—she is loved, she is blessed, and she is an inspiration to all who meet her.
