Thank you Dep.Ed. Grade 1 teachers of Digos City for inviting me to speak about Autism last June 12.🩷

It was a great honor and a meaningful way to celebrate Araw ng Kalayaan -- by helping our dedicated and hardworking classroom warriors, our teachers, understand Autism and help them develop strategies for the General Education Inclusion program.🩷

Fyi, children within the Autism Spectrum can be enrolled in the General Education classroom.🙂

Together, we can create a classroom where everyone belongs.🩷

What is Mpox and how can we prevent it⁉️

🚨Mpox is caused by the Monkeypox Virus

🦠 Modes of transmission:
1. Close or intimate contact with a person with mpox: Skin-to-skin contact, contact with secretions (saliva, respiratory, body fluids), in utero, respiratory droplets
2. Handling objects previously used by someone with Mpox
3. Direct contact with infected animals

🙅🏻‍♀️How can we prevent it from spreading
✅ Refrain from close skin-to-skin contact with a person having rash resembling Mpox
✅Avoid handling materials that have been in contact with someone with Mpox
✅ Clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water or alcohol rub

Take care always and stay safe.👩🏻‍⚕️

Latest reporting from the CDC shows this year’s flu season is the deadliest non-pandemic flu season for U.S. children. 216 children have died. This number passed last year’s flu season, which set a previous high for a non-pandemic season with 207 pediatric deaths. Even with seasonal flu activity declining since its February peak, AAP and CDC recommend everyone six months and older get vaccinated against the flu.
