NEWLY REPORTED HIV CASES

May 4,277 na bagong naiulat na kaso ng Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) para sa ikaapat na quarter ng 2025, ayon sa datos ng Department of Health (DOH).

Batay sa report, karamihan sa mga kaso ay mga lalaki na pasyente na may 4,038 habang mayroon lamang 239 na mga babaeng pasyente.

Nasa 45% ng 1,929 kaso ay bumubuo sa pasyenteng may edad na 25 hanggang 34 taong gulang, na sinusundan ng 15 hanggang 24 taong gulang na may 32% o 1,361 na kaso.

Ang nakakabahala ayon sa DOH ay mayroong 15 mga pasyente na wala pang 15 taong gulang.

BREAKING: HIV cases sa Pilipinas, umabot na sa halos 60 kada araw! 📈⚠️

Patuloy ang mabilis na pagtaas ng mga kaso ng HIV sa bansa ngayong 2026. Ayon sa pinakahuling datos, ang mga kabataang edad 15-34 ang pinaka-apektado ng epidemya.

Anu-ano ang mga hakbang na ginagawa ng pamahalaan at paano mo mapoprotektahan ang iyong sarili?

Sa ilalim ng National HIV/AIDS Program, nakatutok ang bansa sa mga sumusunod:

1. Differentiated Service Delivery: Mas pinadali ang pagkuha ng PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) para sa mga negatibo ngunit high-risk.

2. Self-Testing Kits: Paglulunsad ng mga HIV self-testing kits na pwedeng gamitin sa bahay para sa privacy.

3. Community-Based Centers: Pagpapatayo ng mas maraming sundown clinics at community hubs (gaya ng LoveYourself, Inc. at Sail Clinic).

4. U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable): Kampanya upang ipaalam na ang mga taong may HIV na may undetectable viral load dahil sa gamutan ay hindi na nakakapasa ng virus.

⚠️ ANG HAMON (Challenges)

• Stigma: Ito pa rin ang pangunahing dahilan kung bakit natatakot magpa-test ang mga tao.

• Mental Health: Mataas ang kaso ng depresyon at anxiety sa mga People Living with HIV (PLHIV) dahil sa diskriminasyon.

• Funding: Kailangan ng mas malaking pondo para sa tuloy-tuloy na supply ng Antiretroviral (ARV) drugs.

Ang HIV ay hindi na death sentence. Sa tamang gamutan (ARV), ang isang PLHIV ay maaaring mamuhay nang mahaba, malusog, at produktibo.
