The PHINMA UPang College Urdaneta – Supreme Student Council (PUCU-SSC) firmly stands in solidarity with the nationwide call for truth, accountability, and good governance. As the highest governing body of the studentry, it is both our mandate and our moral obligation to safeguard the trust of our fellow students and to oppose all forms of corruption that weaken justice, fairness, and progress.

We strongly believe that corruption, in any form, weakens our nation and destroys the principles of service and integrity. It undermines the very institutions that should protect and uplift communities—most especially the youth and students. For this reason, the PUCU-SSC joins the broader movement to denounce, confront, and resist corruption wherever it exists.

As students under the PHINMA Education Network, we are called to live out our core values. We must uphold integrity—remaining truthful, transparent, and principled in all our actions—and patriotism—placing the welfare of our community and our country above personal interest. These values define us as scholars, leaders, and citizens, and they demand that we take an unwavering stand against corruption.

We call upon every student, organization, and youth leader to remain vigilant, proactive, and united in building a community and a nation free from corruption. Together, let us uphold a culture of good governance founded on unity, justice, and the common good.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Departamento ng MLS, nakiisa sa PAMET-PASMETH National Quiz Show; PHINMA UPang, nakamit ang ikapitong puwesto

Nakipagtagisan ng talino ang apat na mag-aaral mula sa Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Department ng PHINMA University of Pangasinan sa katatapos lamang na 44th PAMET-PASMETH National Quiz Show na ginanap sa The Manila Hotel ngayong ika-16 ng Setyembre, 2025.

Tulong-tulong na binitbit nina Justin Louie M. Estrada, Adam Herbert Gold B. Israel, Angela Mae C. Ancheta, Angeline L. Soriano, ang kanilang mga tagapagsanay na sina G. Ian Kit Bautista, RMT, at Mark Anthony Idio, RMT ang UPang tungo sa top 10, kung saan natamo nila ang ikapitong gantimpala. Dumaan sa tatlong round o lebel ang nasabing quiz: Easy, Average, at Difficult.

Ayon sa Philippine Association of Medical Technologies, Inc. (PAMET), 70 na mga unibersidad at kolehiyo ang nakipagtunggali mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa. Ang nasabing patimpalak ay parte ng selebrasyon ng Medical Technology Week mula ika-14 hanggang ika-20 ng Setyembre.

Philippine Red Cross Honors National Heroes Day 2025

“Isang Diwa, Isang Lahi, Isang Bayanihan”

Manila, Philippines — August 25, 2025 — The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) joins the entire nation in commemorating National Heroes Day with this year’s theme, “Isang Diwa, Isang Lahi, Isang Bayanihan.”

This day is not only a remembrance of the sacrifices of our national heroes but also a celebration of the enduring Filipino spirit — a spirit defined by courage, unity, and compassion. From those who fought for our freedom to those who continue to uplift communities today, heroism lives on in every act of kindness and service to others.

PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Richard J. Gordon reflected on the deeper meaning of heroism in today’s world:

“The heroes of our past fought for the Philippines we now call home, but our journey as a people continues. Today, heroism is found not only in grand sacrifices but in simple, everyday choices — a volunteer offering their time, a donor giving blood, a responder saving lives in times of disaster. At the Philippine Red Cross, we see these modern-day heroes every single day.”

PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang emphasized that bayanihan — the Filipino spirit of communal unity — remains at the heart of the Red Cross mission:

“We are bound by one vision, one nation, and one shared humanity. Every volunteer, staff member, and partner who chooses to serve reminds us that we are strongest when we stand together. Through our collective effort, we continue to protect lives, bring hope, and build resilience for future generations.”

From disaster response and rescue operations to blood donations, health programs, and community preparedness, the PRC’s mission is driven by people who embody heroism every day. In times of hardship, tragedy, and uncertainty, Filipinos rise — together, united in compassion and service.

This National Heroes Day, the Philippine Red Cross calls on every Filipino to be the hero that someone else needs. In our everyday actions, no matter how small, we can carry forward the legacy of those who came before us and create ripples of hope for generations to come.

Ms. Kobe Kate C. Liberato of the University of Pangasinan ranked 9th in the August 2025 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination.

Ms. Liberato garnered a 91.70% passing rate in the said board examination.

The CHED Regional Office 1 family extends its warmest congratulations to the successful passers. May their achievements inspire future board takers!

We proudly celebrate the 46 examinees who brought honor to our university by achieving a 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 in the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination — a perfect feat with no failures! 🙌
