Valencia City — The City Health Office (CHO), through the Environmental Sanitation and Occupational Health Services (ESOHS) Division, successfully conducted a Food Handler’s Class on January 7, 2026, at Fortich Street, City Health Office, Valencia City.

The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Mary Claire Ida B. Ricare-Rabago, RN, Head of the ESOHS Division, with the objective of strengthening food safety practices among food handlers and preventing foodborne illnesses. The class covered essential topics including proper food handling, personal hygiene, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations.

PHO, CHO CONDUCT BLOODLETTING ACTIVITY IN MAILAG

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Bukidnon and City Health Office (CHO) of Valencia headed by Dr. Alyanna Mae P. Lizardo-Ponay successfully conducted a Bloodletting Activity on January 7, 2026 at Barangay Mailag Valencia City where 31 generous blood donors participated in this humanitarian effort.

The initiative aimed to ensure a stable blood supply for patients in need, including those undergoing surgeries, trauma cases, and individuals with chronic illnesses. With the support of medical professionals and volunteers, the event was carried out smoothly, following strict health and safety protocols to safeguard both donors and recipients.

CHO expressed their gratitude to the Barangay Council headed by Hon. Louie John Naiz and Barangay Health Team and all volunteers who took part in the event. The success of this bloodletting activity reflects the compassion and generosity of our community. Every donation counts, and we encourage more people to become regular blood donors.

Valencia City — The City Health Office (CHO), through the Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) Division, successfully conducted the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (mRSIA) Orientation for Rural Health Midwives (RHMs) from the 31 barangays of Valencia City on January 6, 2026, held at Fortich Street, City Health Office, Valencia City.

The activity was spearheaded by Alma P. Cenabre, RN, and Pinky Marie L. De Luna, RN, LPT, aiming to strengthen the preparedness and capacity of RHMs in the effective implementation of the upcoming mRSIA.

The orientation emphasized the importance of measles and rubella prevention, immunization strategies, proper reporting, and community engagement to ensure high vaccination coverage across all barangays.

Serving as speakers and presenters during the orientation were Pinky Marie L. De Luna, RN, LPT; Venadyl F. Cantero, RN, EMT, HEPO III; Sheena Palma, RND; Alma P. Cenabre, RN; and Dr. Alyanna Mae P. The CHO medical team headed by Myra Diane A. Valero, RN, EMT, MAN and Cipriano JR Pat, RN ( Disease Surveillance Officer) with Gladie Mary Paler (YAKAP I.t Head), Nimfa Orebillo (YAKAP Clerk), Edrian Cork (YAKAP Clerk), Daniel Bantolinao (E.S. staff) was strategically deployed throughout the duration of the tournament to ensure the safety and immediate medical response for players, officials, and spectators.
