MMCI 8th year Anniversary Celebration
It isnโt every day that an institution reaches a great height on its 8th year. It is not that it has attained its greatest achievement already but that on this, its 8th year as Medidas Medical Center Inc., (MMCI) it has surmounted its birthing pangs and the kinks in its operation that the CoVid years brought with it. For that, MMCI is eternally grateful to God, its people, and the community it serves.
On 20 March 2017, MMCI was able to inaugurate the present 2-storey building, 25-bed capacity, Level 1 hospital, with plans for two more floors in the following years. It is formerly the Medidas Medical Clinic, dreamed by Dr. Saturnino A. Medidas and his wife, Ms. Mary Ann Tinoy-Medidas, a nurse by profession, to be their simple way to practice their professions. However, as their children were growing up and going into the medical field as well, they saw it fit to incorprate the facility by registering it with the Securities and Exchange Commisiion as a family corporation. Hence, the MMCI years could be summarrized as follows:
2017 Inaugural year at Guinuyoran Road
2018 Startup year as 25-bed capacity Level 1 Hospital
2019 Soar up year: A Glimpse of What MMCI can be
2020 Pandemic year 1: Reported first shut down
2021 Pandemic Year 2: Two more shut downs in a row
2022 Emerging from the Pandemic: Losses of about P10M
2023 A Post Pandemic Re-start: Step Up Strategy
2024 Going Further: On to Growth and Stability
As a result of the operations in 2024, MMCI is now in a position to move forward its dream of completing the additional two stories it has left unfinished the last 8 years.
Thus, today is a celebration of its 8 beautiful and powerful years. It is believed the number 8 is the symbol of balance as seen in tis symmetrical shape. It means that โfor every blessing it receives, it puts one back out to the universeโ in thanksgiving. However, because of its infinite character, it also is the symbol for harmony and abundance for as long as the loop of gratefulness, graciousness, and generosity is worked on. Because of that, it is believed that the number 8 encourages growth, overcoming challenges, and transformation. These are what MMCI prays for, that in the next 8 years, it will be able to transform itself into the health facility that excels in health care, just primary health care it may be.
MMCI recognizes that without Godโs amazing grace and support, it would have not achieved what it has achieved so far.
