The VMC Nutrition Dietetics Department celebrates the 51st Nutrition Month with the theme, “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!” and subtheme: “Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”.

NDD launches the KALOKALIKE: Tiktok Challenge which aims to promote nutrition and wellness by encouraging hospital staff to creatively impersonate vegetables, fruits, or healthy foods in TikTok videos—using low-cost, fun, and educational approaches.

Mechanics:
✓Participants:
• Open to all VMC hospital staff
• Individual or group entries allowed.

✓How It Works:
• Choose a vegetable, fruit, or healthy food to represent.
• Create a TikTok video (max 60 seconds) where you:
- Dress up or use props to “become” the food item
- Share its health benefits
- Deliver the message through acting, dancing, or creative storytelling
• Use low-cost or recycled materials for costumes/props
• Keep the content respectful, safe, and in line with hospital policies

✓Submission:
• Send it to the Nutrition Month Committee at dietaryvmc@gmail.com for official upload on or before July 29, 2025.
• All entries will be posted on July 30, 2025.

Are you ready to showcase your culinary creativity while promoting health and nutrition? Join the Nutri-Chef Challenge — a culinary competition highlighting healthy, affordable, and easy-to-prepare meals inspired by the Pinggang Pinoy guide!

👨🍳 Who can join?
🔹 Open to all VMC employees
🔹 1 entry per Division

🎥 How to join:
🔸 Prepare a nutritious meal using the Pinggang Pinoy food plate as your guide
🔸 Submit a maximum 5-minute video showing:
▪️ Ingredient presentation
▪️ Cooking steps
▪️ Garnishing & plating
▪️ Recipe with costing
▪️ Explanation of how it meets Pinggang Pinoy standards
🔸 Capture a clear photo of your finished dish

Criteria
Nutritive Value = 25%
Affordability & Availability = 25%
Ease of preparation = 20%
Originality/Creativity = 15%
Audience Impact = 15%

In celebration of the 51st Nutrition Month with the theme “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!” and the subtheme “Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department (NDD), in collaboration with the Gender and Development (GAD) and the Public Health Unit (PHU), invites all VMC employees to join the Nutri-Fitness Challenge—an activity designed to test both body and mind. This exciting event aims to promote health, wellness, and nutrition awareness through fun and meaningful activities that encourage physical fitness, mental alertness, and teamwork. ✔ Click the video of your chosen tiktok entry that you want to vote and like or react. Please take note that all reactions are valid except angry and laughing reaction. Entry with AUTO LIKES will not be counted.
✔ Share the video entry you voted to help the entry gain more votes.
✔ The online voting will start today August 3,2024 and will end on August 4, 2024 5:00 PM and this is open to everyone.
✔ The tallying of the total votes shall proceed and final result will be announce on Monday, August 5, 2024.
