Per the Memorandum Circular No. 97 of the Office of the President, CLASSES in ALL LEVELS (public and private) in Valenzuela City are SUSPENDED tomorrow, September 22, 2025, as a preemptive measure for the possible inclement weather that may be caused by Super Typhoon Nando and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

This revolutionary approach targets the viral genetic material directly, effectively erasing HIV from the cell’s genome and halting its ability to replicate.

In laboratory studies, treated cells showed no signs of viral rebound, offering a potential pathway toward a permanent cure for HIV, a disease that has affected millions globally. Unlike traditional antiretroviral therapies, which only suppress the virus, this CRISPR therapy tackles the root cause, providing hope for a one-time treatment with long-lasting effects.

Researchers emphasise that while early results are promising, further studies and clinical trials are required to ensure safety and efficacy in humans. If successful, this therapy could transform HIV treatment and bring the world closer to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic once and for all.

Did you know?

A person living with HIV can be in a loving, intimate relationship with someone who is HIV negative, and not pass on the virus.

That’s the power of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).
When taken consistently and correctly, ART suppresses the virus to levels so low that it becomes undetectable, and when HIV is undetectable, it is untransmittable.

This is what we call U=U:
Undetectable = Untransmittable.

This is also known as Treatment as Prevention.
By taking their medication every day, a person living with HIV not only protects their own health, but also prevents transmission to their partner, even during unprotected s€x.

And yes, people living with HIV can also have HIV-negative children.
With proper treatment and medical support, they can give birth to babies free of the virus.

This is not just medical progress, it’s freedom, hope, and life.
ART changes everything. It turns fear into love. It turns stigma into strength.
