Please do not normalize asking your doctor to decide by phone whether your child should go to the Emergency Room — especially late at night when the clinic is already closed.

We, doctors, also have our own families and personal time outside clinic hours. Most importantly, proper medical decisions — especially regarding emergency cases — require actual assessment. We cannot safely and accurately decide based on messages or phone descriptions alone.

If you strongly feel that your child needs emergency care, please proceed directly to the nearest Emergency Room immediately. Do not wait for your doctor to respond or decide for you.

Emergency rooms are open 24/7 for a reason — they are equipped to assess and manage urgent cases right away.

Your child’s safety is the priority. If it looks urgent, act on it.

PS: Wag nyo din po sana ipost sa social media ang screenshots ng PM dahil maaaring makasama ito sa pang-unawa ng ibang tao. Ang message naito ay lagpas oras napo ng clinic hours. ---- Maayos pong sinagot ni Ate Phia. Actually, mahinahon po niyang sinabi, kahit na gabi napo at oras na ng pahinga, sumagot po kahit papaano si Ate Phia. Wala lang pong tono, pero depende po sa interpretation ng magbabasa.. Sa mga nakakakilala kay Ate Phia alam nyo pong mabait sya 🥹
