On August 13, 2025, a meaningful milestone for the Valenzuela Medical Center's (VMC) 3rd Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) Meeting, bringing together leaders and representatives from key government agencies and organizations. This initiative aims to strengthen collaboration by harnessing the expertise, resources, and perspectives of various sectors to help VMC achieve sustainable and effective solutions to the challenges it faces.
The event commenced with an engaging opening program by VMC Harmony, followed by Dr. Edilberto Cavaneyro, OIC-Medical Center Chief II, who delivered insightful opening remarks.
The heart of the meeting was an orientation session, spearheaded by the members of the Office for Strategy Management (OSM): Dr. Manuel Pocsidio Jr. as Chairperson, Dr. Jed Cruz as Co-Chairperson, Mr. Jeriel Robert Dating, Ms. Mara Almira Bernardo, Dr. Anamarie Manangan, and Mr. John Vincent Santos. The session was hosted by Ms. Allyssa Laurente, OSM Secretariat, and graced by the presence of the VMC Expanded Management Committee (EXECOM) and Specialty Centers Point Persons. These discussions provided attendees with a deeper understanding of VMC’s Performance Governance System (PGS) journey and the MSGC's purpose and potential.
A key highlight of the event was the election of MSGC officers, where District 2 Cong. Gerald Galang was chosen as the new Chairperson and Dr. Jemma Echiverri, President of Soroptimist International as Vice Chairperson. In addition, participants were assigned to their respective committee memberships within the council, ensuring that every sector has a defined role in advancing VMC’s goals.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks delivered by Dr. Maria Milagros Magat, PGS Core Team Chairperson, who emphasized the collective vision of progress and collaboration moving forward.
