Recognizing the proactive approach of the ABACA Eagles Club in addressing the pressing need for intervention, particularly amidst the increasing incidence of suicidal attempts and psychological disturbances among youths in the province. By coordinating with school authorities and facilitating vital mental health orientations, the club has played a pivotal role in promoting mental well-being and resilience among the youth.
The resolution, sponsored by PBM Joselito T. Alberto, during the 12th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) held on March 25, 2024, highlights the remarkable dedication of the ABACA Eagles Club in advocating mental health awareness among high school students in Catanduanes. "The lone NGO in the Bicol area that is active in advocating mental health among schools and universities, showcasing exemplary performance as mental health advocates," added by PBM Joselito Alberto in an online interview.
