POGS AHIP Catanduanes, together with the MHO Virac Adolescent Health and Development Program Team, carried on with dedication and teamwork! 💚

✨Participants
The activity was attended by 40 junior and senior high school students representing various schools in Virac, namely:
• Catanduanes National High School
• Palta National High School
• CatSU Laboratory High School
• Magnesia del Sur National High School
In addition, 2 POGS Catanduanes members and 8 staff from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Virac , 3 SK Federation Representatives and 3 BHW’s participated in the event.
✨Program Highlights
The event began with a one-day recollection facilitated by Rev. Fr. Nestor Perpetuo Pastor of the Virac Diocese , focusing on self-awareness and self-discovery. This spiritual session encouraged the youth to reflect on their identity, purpose, and relationship with God.
Following the recollection, a series of lectures were conducted by the POGS Catanduanes Members and RHU Virac AHDP Team covering essential topics on:
• Adolescent Health and Development
• The Clean Teen
• Myths and Misconceptions about Sexuality
• The Teen and Social Media
• Mental Health Awareness
. Risk-taking Behavoirs of the adolescent
✨An engaging demonstration on proper handwashing was also done to emphasize personal hygiene and disease prevention by the RHU Virac Adolescent Health Development Team Leader Mam Rowena Francisa Pastor, a timely lecture on the use of social media by teens was discussed thoroughly by Mam Elda Ruzana J. Tablate.

✨Distribution of Hygiene Kits
Each participant received a hygiene kit containing:
• Alcohol spray / sanitizer
• Face towel
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Germicidal soap
• Deodorant cream
. Baby Powder
• Sanitary pads and panty liners and feminine wash for female participants)
✨Interactive Activities
Fun and learning were combined through interactive activities such as:
• Question-and-answer games based on the lecture topics
• A TikTok dance performance participated in by the students, RHU Virac staff, and organizers
✨Theme
This year’s POGS Catanduanes -AHIP celebration carried the theme:
“Mind. Body. Future. Building Healthy Habits for Life.”
⭐️✨The event was a holistic celebration of youth, highlighting their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
