A meaningful day of service, growth, and renewed purpose was held at Wao District Hospital on April 30, 2026

The program served as a powerful reminder that healthcare is more than an institution—it is a lifelong commitment to compassion, dignity, and service to humanity.

The Oath-Taking Ceremony of 11 Newly Appointed and 2 Promoted Personnel marked the beginning of a deeper calling in public service. Each oath reflected courage, responsibility, and a sincere promise to serve with integrity, even in the face of challenges. Beyond the ceremony were individuals choosing a life dedicated to healing, hope, and humanity.

In his heartfelt welcome address, Dr. Asnawi R. Dalidig, Chief of Hospital II, reminded everyone of the essence of true service:
“The oath you take today is not merely a formality—it is a lifelong commitment to uphold integrity, embody compassion, and serve with excellence.”

An inspiring message was also delivered by Dr. Alinader D. Minalang, Provincial Health Officer II, emphasizing that excellence in healthcare is not only defined by skills and knowledge, but by heart, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the people and communities being served.

The solemn administration of the oath was led by Engr. Mona-Ali C. Pandita, Chief Administrative Officer of MOH BARMM, whose presence reinforced the values of accountability, discipline, and responsible public service.

The program was further enriched by the inaugural message of Dr. Arianne Palomar, Medical Specialist III, who highlighted the importance of patient-centered care, continuous professional growth, and service anchored in both competence and compassion—reminding everyone that true excellence in healthcare begins with purpose and heart.

A significant milestone was also marked during the Turnover Ceremony of the Newly Constructed Cadaver Building. The symbolic key was formally handed over by NPD Construction representative, Engr. Raffy Dimacuta, signifying the official completion and turnover of the facility. On behalf of Wao District Hospital, Engr. Amer Hussien Macalaba, Engineer II, delivered the acceptance message, recognizing its vital role in strengthening medical education, training, and the advancement of healthcare services with dignity and high standards.

The program concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Ms. Rhea G. Maghanoy, Administrative Officer V, who expressed sincere gratitude to all participants and emphasized unity, professionalism, and continued commitment in advancing the hospital’s mission of delivering quality and compassionate healthcare.

Every milestone reflects one truth—service is not just a duty, but a calling to serve with heart

Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas—graceful in spirit, powerful in purpose, and boundless in heart.

Wao District Hospital blooms with beauty, strength, and unity as it proudly celebrates the Culmination of National Women’s Month 2026—a heartfelt tribute to every woman who nurtures, leads, and inspires.

Under the compassionate and inspiring leadership of Chief of Hospital II, Dr. Asnawi R. Dalidig, this celebration became more than an event—it became a moment of connection, appreciation, and empowerment for all women who continue to serve with love and dedication.

The program opened with a heartfelt welcome from Ms. Rhea G. Maghanoy, Administrative Officer V, whose words gently reminded us of the quiet courage, unwavering strength, and nurturing spirit that define every woman.

With every beat of the music, our Purple Zumba came alive—filled with laughter, movement, and vibrant energy. It was a joyful reminder that women, even in the midst of responsibilities, deserve moments of wellness, happiness, and self-care.

In a meaningful gesture of compassion, Women’s Kits were distributed—simple tokens that carry a powerful message: you are seen, you are valued, and you are cared for.

The celebration also recognized and honored the awarded participants in various categories, acknowledging their active participation, enthusiasm, and outstanding contributions to the success of the event. Their efforts reflect the spirit of unity, empowerment, and camaraderie that this celebration aims to promote.

Like the Babaylans of our heritage—women who once stood as healers, leaders, and pillars of their communities—today’s Filipinas continue to embody that same spirit: strong yet gentle, resilient yet compassionate, leading not only with knowledge but with heart.

This celebration is a reminder that every woman carries a story of courage—
in every sacrifice,
in every act of care,
and in every dream pursued despite the odds.

As we close this meaningful chapter, may we continue to uplift one another, celebrate our individuality, and walk hand in hand toward a future where every woman shines without limits.

To all women, may you always rise with confidence, bloom with purpose, and lead with love.

Padayon, kababaihan. Ang inyong ganda ay hindi lamang nakikita—ito ay nararamdaman sa inyong lakas at malasakit.

Eid’l Fitr: Faith, Unity, and Service
March 23, 2026

As we gather in celebration of this blessed day, our hearts are filled with gratitude—for the strength that carried us through Ramadan, for the lessons that shaped us, and for the people who made this journey meaningful.

We are reminded of the inspiring words of our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Asnawi R. Dalidig: “Beyond the numbers and milestones, what truly matters is the spirit behind them—the unity, sacrifice, and shared commitment to care for our patients.”

Indeed, this Ramadan has been more than a time of fasting—it has been a journey of faith, discipline, compassion, and selflessness. In every long duty, every act of kindness, and every life we touched, we reflected the true essence of service.

In the quiet moments of prayer and reflection, and in the busy halls of service, we were united by one purpose—to serve with sincerity, to heal with compassion, and to uplift one another with faith.

Another heartfelt reminder from our COH resonates deeply within us: “I take pride in what we have accomplished together, and I am confident that with the same faith and teamwork, we will continue to grow stronger.”

This is not just a celebration of the end of Ramadan, but a celebration of resilience, unity, and shared purpose. It is a reminder that behind every achievement is a team bound by trust, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

With sincere appreciation, we honor those who helped make this Ramadan spiritually enriching and memorable—Ustadz Moclace Satar for guiding us in prayer and strengthening our faith, and Engr. Amerhussien Macalaba and team for creating moments of connection through shared iftars and reflection.

As we step forward beyond Ramadan, may we continue to embody its values in our daily lives—carrying with us patience in challenges, compassion in service, and faith in every step we take.

Let us hold on to this beautiful message:
“May this Eid bring peace to our hearts, strength to our purpose, and renewed inspiration in the work that we do.”

May our service remain rooted in compassion, our teamwork guided by unity, and our hearts anchored in faith—not just during Ramadan, but in every day that follows.

Eid Mubarak to our hospital family, our patients, and to everyone celebrating around the world!
May this joyous occasion fill your homes with peace, your hearts with gratitude, and your lives with endless blessings.

Wassalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Wao District Hospital actively participated in the First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on March 12, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to disaster preparedness and the safety of patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital community.

The activity served as an important exercise for hospital personnel to practice the proper “Drop, Cover, and Hold” procedure and simulate coordinated emergency response protocols during an earthquake scenario. Various units and departments worked together to review evacuation procedures, ensure patient safety, and strengthen communication and coordination during emergencies.

Activities like this play a vital role in building a culture of preparedness and resilience within healthcare facilities, ensuring that lifesaving services remain operational even during emergencies.

Healing Hands. Caring Hearts. Restoring Hope.

The Wao District Hospital, under the dedicated leadership of Dr. Asnawi R. Dalidig, Chief of Hospital II, successfully conducted a three-day Medical Mission on February 9–11, 2026, in strong partnership with Malasakit Program Unit - MOH BARMM – Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients Program (MAIFIPP) and Ayudang Medikal mula sa Bangsamoro Government - AMBaG.

Over three meaningful days, 412 patients received free medical consultations, laboratory services, and essential medicines. Each patient represents a life touched and a family supported by accessible, compassionate healthcare.

The mission of service continued on February 12–13, 2026, with the successful conduct of a Cataract and Pterygium Surgical Mission. A total of 30 cataract patients and 17 pterygium patients underwent life-changing surgical procedures—restoring clearer vision, renewed confidence, and an improved quality of life.

Behind these numbers are powerful stories of hope: grandparents who can now clearly see their loved ones, workers who can return to their livelihoods, and individuals who have regained independence through restored eyesight.

This achievement reflects the strength of collaboration, the dedication of our healthcare professionals, and the unwavering commitment of our partners. Under Dr. Dalidig’s leadership, Wao District Hospital continues to uphold its mission of delivering quality healthcare with integrity, excellence, and genuine malasakit.

Healthcare is not just a service—it is a promise. We remain committed to ensuring that no one is left behind.

Together, we build a healthier, stronger Wao.
