Quiet warriors in every shift. It's not just about hardwork. It's about unity 37 years. We are not just a team we are family.. Going stonger. Laughing louder, lifting each other higher. A family United in purpose.

For 37 years the center stood as a beacon of hope, restoration, and second chances. And the mission continues.....

The SDTRC celebrates Residents family day.
With this year's theme,

Restoring Lives : " Together we heal
with love in the family"

Pastor Jz chavez, of the Christian Baptist Church and SDTRC Spiritual and Moral recovery lecturer, as guest speaker centers his message on the importance of putting God first in every family and putting family second above all others.

Family we always knew is one of the most turning point and decisive factors in making the rehabilitation effort succeed . Without family support and adjustments it will almost sure to fail.

For all hope and happiness are made by them, with them and for them.

20 family's out of the 25 residents attended the family day celebration held last Saturday June 28, 2025 at SDTRC. with Ms. Elvira Vida SDTRC Admin and Finance , Mr. Lowell Vallecer

The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), in its continuing effort to ensure that stakeholders are well-trained in the features, functions and use of the system, has conducted an "End-User Training on the TRAIS" last May 27 - 29 2025 at the Residencia Suites Hotel in Zamboanga City.

The SonShine Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center was invited along with other DOH Accredited DTRC's in Mindanao.
Three SDTRC staff/representatives attended the training Seminar.

SDTRC's Health Information Administrative Officer or Authorized personnel, Alternate Personnel to handle Trais, and SDTRC intake Officer.

To celebrate the upcoming 37th Anniversary of SonShine Rehabilitation, we’ve officially kicked things off with a joyful Sports Fest , a break from our usual therapeutic sessions and activities! 🙌⚽🏀

We started the celebration with a parade, joined by our amazing Staff, Resilient Residents, Student Nurses, and their C.I.'s. from Universidad de Zamboanga and Western Mindanao State University.

Pastoral Visit

Pastors from the Southern Baptist Church visited SonShine Rehabilitation Center. Pastor Jonathan Galindo, Pastor Paul Holohoy Pastor David and Gary all the way from the U.S. are here for the ministry.

Both pastor David and Gary were former Drug Dependents, Gang members and even went to prison. In their testimonies they shared their life similar to everyone who struggles from addiction and how they overcame it.

Sonshine believes that true restoration comes from the saviour the son, Jesus hence the name SonShine
" Son for spirits and hearts in need."
