In fact, ventilations can be delivered using barrier devices like pocket masks or bag-valve masks, helping protect the rescuer while still providing effective oxygenation. If these arenโ€™t available, compression-only CPR remains a valid and recommended option for adult cardiac arrest. ๐Ÿค—

If someone regains a pulse after CPR but is still unconscious, placing them in the recovery position keeps their airway open and lowers the risk of choking. Itโ€™s simple, quick, and can prevent further complications while waiting for professional help. Knowing when and how to do this is exactly what we train for in BLS ๐Ÿ’ช

When you perform BLS, you have to think fast and adapt immediatelyโ€”children require gentler compressions, pregnant patients need hand placement adjustments, trauma victims may have spinal injuries, and patients with pacemakers need careful compressions to avoid complications. A split-second mistake can make a HUGE difference, so knowing these variations isnโ€™t optionalโ€”itโ€™s CRITICAL. ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿšจ
