In celebration of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, we are peeling back the layers of myths and labels to reveal the truth about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. When we break the stigma, we stop seeing "limitations" and start seeing differences; we stop offering "pity" and start offering respect. People on the spectrum don't need to be "fixed"—they need to be included, supported, and valued for exactly who they are.

Swipe through to learn about the 5 common misconceptions and how we can all become better allies for neurodivergent people of all ages.

Together, let's build a world where every child, regardless of anything, feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their dreams. 💙

The AdZU Junior High School successfully conducted its annual Medical and Dental Mission on December 14, 2025 at the JHS Lobby, Kreutz Campus. The activity was organized by the Infirmary, in partnership with the Arrupe Office of Community Service and Advocacy (AOSCA).

This school year, the mission provided a wide range of essential services to our beneficiaries from Barangay Tumaga, including medical check-ups with free medicines, fluoride application for children, breast cancer screening, blood glucose testing, feeding programs, haircut services, and many more.

This meaningful endeavor would not have been possible without the generosity, dedication, and support of our volunteer medical professionals, partners, and sponsors, namely:

JHS Parents and Students
GPTA Board of Officers
Ciudad Medical Zamboanga / Mr. Chris Norman Dimaano
BARMM Ministry of Health / Dr. Ahmad Fawadz Israel
Yakult Zamboanga
Tzu Chi Zamboanga
HS Batch 1994 / Mr. Bryan Abejero
Chowtime / Mr. Jonald Macrohon
The Giddy Goat / Ms. Clarice Sali
Unilab Zamboanga / Mr. Lester Romuar
JJC AdZU Chapter
JCI Jambangan
Dr. Vince and Dr. Mar-Liza Balido of Balido Clinics
ADZU HS and College Alumni
Hon. Kim Villaflores

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your unwavering support and generosity. Your commitment to service truly made a difference and helped us bring care, compassion, and hope to the community—especially during this holiday season.

Health Advisory: Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD)

HFMD Prevention Tips:
Protect yourself and the people around you from Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease with these simple steps:

1. Wash Hands Frequently
Use soap and water, especially after using the toilet, coughing/sneezing, or before eating.

2. Avoid Close Contact
Stay home until fever and sores are gone.
Avoid hugging, kissing, or sharing utensils during outbreaks.

3. Disinfect Surfaces and Toys
Regularly clean commonly touched surfaces like doorknobs, toys, and tables. Use disinfectant spray, wipes or diluted bleach solution.

4. Practice Respiratory Hygiene
Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
Use tissues or elbows to prevent virus spread.

Inform the infirmary, your class moderator (for students) and office/department head (for employees) if diagnosed.

6. Watch for Early Symptoms
Act quickly if your child shows signs of fever, rash, or mouth sores.
Early isolation reduces the chance of spreading the illness.

Prevention is the best cure. Let's work together to keep our families and communities healthy!
