Zamboangaโ€™s heat index is rising, with forecasts reaching 37ยฐC (Extreme Caution). At these levels, prolonged exposure can lead to heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke, especially with long duty hours, ward rounds, and movement across hospital areas.

This is a shared risk for all of us, most especially:
โ€ข Staff on extended shifts
โ€ข Personnel working outdoors (security, transport, maintenance)
โ€ข Patients with comorbidities, including elderly and pediatric cases
