⚠️ 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 ⚠️

It has come to our attention that some WMSU students have been availing of ear and nose piercings from temporary establishments near or within the campus.

The WMSU Health Services Center reminds everyone to exercise caution when considering such procedures. 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 such as keloid scarring.

We strongly encourage students to seek professional and hygienic services and to practice proper aftercare to prevent complications. Your health and safety remain our top priority.

🌧️🦟 𝘿𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩 🦟🌧️

With the ongoing typhoons bringing heavy rains, the University Health Services Center reminds everyone to stay vigilant against Dengue Fever. Recent cases of Dengue have been observed among our students, making prevention all the more important.

👉 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙞𝙥𝙨:

- Keep surroundings clean and free from stagnant water.

- Observe proper waste management to prevent rainwater from being trapped in trash or clutter.

- Cover water containers.

- Use mosquito repellents and wear protective clothing.

- Apply bug sprays in areas/rooms where mosquitoes are common.

- At home, screens and nets may be installed.

👉 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚:

- Sudden high fever
- Severe headache and eye pain
- Muscle and joint pains
- Skin rashes or redness
- Bleeding gums or nose
- Abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting

🚨URGENT: Official Public Health Advisory on Mpox (Monkeypox) for WMSU's 2025 Commencement Exercises 🎓

To all graduates, parents, faculty, and guests:

In light of a confirmed Mpox case in Zamboanga Sibugay, the following measures will be in effect during WMSU's graudation ceremonies:

✅ All graduates must sanitize their hands with alcohol before and after going up on stage. Alcohol dispensers will be available on both sides of the stage.

✅ All attendees with early symptoms of Mpox (fever, fatigue, headache, muscle soreness, swollen lymph nodes) must wear a mask.

Let’s all do our part to ensure a safe and meaningful celebration! 🙏
