“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Yesterday at On-Call Fridays, we were reminded that even in the midst of our busy schedules, God invites us to 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯, 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘏𝘪𝘮. ✨

We are reminded that apart from Him, we are nothing.
We are called back to our first love.
We are assured that His presence is with us when we gather in His name.

The cross was never meant to end in the grave. In Jesus Christ’s burial, the weight of sin was laid down once and for all. And in His resurrection, a new way of living was opened—𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙣𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨. Because He rose, those who are in Him are called to live differently—𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙙, 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩.

"We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." -Romans 6:4 (NIV)

“But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on Him,
and by His wounds we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5

Christ’s suffering has opened the way for us to have peace—
not by our own works, but by grace through faith.
His death and resurrection are the fulfillment of God’s promise to reconcile us back to Himself.

In the end,
the grave reminds us that death has no lasting victory.

Sin is not just a flaw—it is the weight every heart carries, the debt no one can repay, the separation no effort can bridge. No matter how good we try to be, we fall short. We need more than self-improvement—𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙧.

And God did not leave us in that condition. He made a way. Through Jesus Christ, what we could never fix is redeemed, what we could never earn is freely given. 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16-17 (NIV)

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦.✨

This afternoon, we were reminded that the law was given to reveal God’s perfect standard—and to show us that on our own, we fall short. It points us to our need, not our ability. But the story doesn’t end there. Grace steps in where the law exposes our weakness. Through Jesus Christ, what we could never achieve is freely given—salvation, not by works, but by faith.

Because of Him, the way to God is no longer closed. We don’t have to strive or prove ourselves—He has already made a way.

Praise God for the life of Dr. Nina Chavez Cantones for faithfully sharing the Word of God and reminding us of this beautiful truth.

Have you ever felt like you’re not enough? Like you have to do more just to be accepted by God?

The beauty of salvation is this: 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴. It’s grace—freely given, not earned.

𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥.✨

Psalm 33 reminds us that we are called to rejoice in the Lord, to worship Him with glad hearts, and to trust in His sovereign rule over all things. While the plans of people may change, the purposes of the Lord stand forever. Our true security is not in human strength, but in the steadfast love of God.

Last March 6, 2026, during On-Call Fridays, we were blessed to hear God’s Word through our speaker, Tine Adjarani, who reminded us that our hope is not found in circumstances but in the Lord who reigns over all.

Thank you to everyone who joined our last Bible Study. Your presence, participation, and hunger for God’s Word made the fellowship truly meaningful.

Christmas reminds us that true joy and hope are found in Jesus Christ, who came to meet us where we are and bring light into our darkness.
