Serving humanity through knowledge and companssion 🚨

The community of Brgy. Bolong recently took a step toward greater preparedness through a successful First Aid and Basic Life Support training last April 16, 2026 facilitated by the Brgy. Council of Bolong and the Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga City Chapter. Lifeguards, Boat operators, cottage and resorts owners actively participated in learning essential life-saving skills, including CPR, proper bandaging, and emergency response techniques.

Through this initiative, the spirit of volunteerism and readiness was strengthened-empowering individuals to respond effectively and confidently in times of need.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Brgy. Council of Bolong headed by Hon. Ruben G. Coros and staff for their dedication and to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to saving lives. Together, we continue to build a safer and more resilient community

🚨Empowering lives through skills that matter 🚑

Last April 8, 2026, a successful conduct of First Aid and Basic Life Support Training was held at the College of Sports Science and Physical Education, Western Mindanao State University. This initiative aimed to equip students with essential life-saving knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies.

Participants actively engaged in hands-on demonstration and simulations, strengthening their confidence and readiness to act when every seconds counts. Through this training, we continue to uphold the commitment to safety, preparedness, and service to others.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the College of Sports Science and Physical Education, Facilitators and participants for making this activity meaningful and successful. Your dedication to learning and serving others truly makes a difference.

This program is designed for individuals aged 18 and above whose roles require responding to emergencies, including nurses, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, firefighters, lifeguards, and other first responders. It provides an in-depth yet concise training on handling cardiovascular emergencies and choking incidents for adults, children, and infants, depending on the level of CPR selected.

This comprehensive four-day course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with automated external defibrillator (AED). This training can be used for employment and day-to-day emergencies. Accepted in accordance to DOLE requirements.

This two-day course is recommended for workplace that offers first aid, CPR with AED and responds to occupational hazards. It complies to the requirements, which defines a ”certified first-aider” as any person trained and duly certified or qualified to administer first aid by the Philippine Red Cross.

In the spirit of service and compassion this , the dedicated staff and volunteers of the Philippine Red Cross – Zamboanga City Chapter from Safety Services, Disaster Management Services, and Welfare Services were deployed at Abong-Abong, Pasonanca Park to ensure the safety, well-being, and provide assistance to devotees.

Through preparedness, vigilance, and the spirit of volunteerism, our teams stood ready to provide first aid, emergency response, and humanitarian support throughout the observance of Holy Week.
