📰 2025 HFDU PRISM
The Department of Health – Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development (DOH–ZPCHD), through its Health Facilities Development Unit (HFDU), successfully held the 2025 HFDU Programs’ Review of Implementation, Strategies, and Milestones (PRISM) last November 11–12, 2025 at the Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City.
Centered on the theme “Building Networks, Strengthening Systems,” this year’s PRISM highlighted the power of collaboration and innovation in enhancing hospital-based programs across government hospitals in the region. The theme reflects the shared commitment of healthcare leaders and institutions to strengthen partnerships, improve efficiency, and ensure quality and equitable health services for every community in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
The program opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Augusto Manolo G. Alpichi, MD, MPH, CESE, OIC-Assistant Regional Director, followed by an inspiring keynote message from Dr. Lenny Joy Johnson-Rivera, MDM, CESO IV, OIC-Regional Director.
Throughout the two-day event, participants reviewed the progress of hospital-based programs, tackled challenges, and discussed emerging concerns within the regional referral system.
One of the highlights was the 2025 HFDU PRISM Awards, recognizing DOH-retained and LGU hospitals that excelled in performance, innovation, and commitment to advancing hospital-based programs. The activity concluded with closing remarks from Engr. Domingo E. Lusaya, Chief Administrative Officer of DOH–ZPCHD.
Grounded in the principles of Universal Health Care and the DOH 8-Point Action Agenda, PRISM reaffirms DOH–ZPCHD’s steadfast commitment to building a resilient, efficient, and people-centered health system—one strengthened by meaningful collaborations, sound strategies, and sustainable systems for better health outcomes in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
