The FM OPD conducted a Lay Forum on Responsible AI Use on Health Questions led by Dr. Wooton, Family Medicine Resident. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ’ป

The discussion focused on the proper use of AI and online health information, while reminding everyone that professional medical consultation still matters. Technology may provide quick information, but proper assessment, accurate diagnosis, and personalized care from healthcare professionals remain essential.

The forum also highlighted the importance of teleconsultation as a convenient and accessible way to deliver healthcare to patients and families. As digital health continues to grow, teleconsultation helps bridge patients to healthcare services while still allowing compassionate and patient-centered care to be delivered. ๐Ÿ’š

As part of the Consultants Hour series, ๐——๐—ฟ. ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐˜‡๐˜‡๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜†๐—ป ๐—ฌ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ฝ, Family Medicine Consultant and Head of the Employees Clinic, delivered a lecture on Wellness and Health Promotion Among Adults.

The discussion highlighted the importance of comprehensive clinical assessment, including proper history taking, physical examination, and screening for risk factors. Evidence-based diagnostic screening through appropriate laboratories and ancillary procedures was also emphasized to support early detection and prevention of disease.

Pharmacologic interventions such as immunization and chemoprophylaxis were discussed alongside nonpharmacologic approaches including diet recommendations, physical activity prescription and lifestyle modification in promoting overall health and wellness among adults.
