𝗛𝗙𝗗𝗨-𝗭𝗣𝗖𝗛𝗗 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗢𝗻-𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗭𝗖𝗠𝗖

January 27, 2026 | The Health Facility Development Unit (HFDU) of the Department of Health – Zamboanga Peninsula Center for Health Development (DOH ZP CHD) conducted an On-Site Harmonized Hospital-Based Program Monitoring at Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) as part of its continuing efforts to ensure quality, safe, and efficient hospital operations.

The monitoring activity consisted of a thorough document review, interviews with concerned hospital units, and physical validation, including a walkthrough of critical hospital areas jointly undertaken by HFDU and ZCMC personnel.

Results of the monitoring showed sustained and improved performance across key hospital programs. From last year’s ratings, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗜𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗣) and 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 (𝗜𝗣𝗖) both maintained their perfect 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, reflecting the hospital’s consistent adherence to operational and patient safety standards. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗛𝗖𝗪𝗠) program demonstrated notable progress, improving from 90% to 𝟵𝟱%, indicating strengthened systems and heightened environmental and safety practices. Meanwhile, the The 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗟𝗤𝗠𝗦), which is a new area of assessment this year, earned an 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗧 rating, underscoring ZCMC’s strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement in laboratory services.

Through this harmonized monitoring, HFDU–DOH ZP CHD reaffirms its unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency in hospital services, while ZCMC continues to exemplify excellence and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery for the Zamboanga Peninsula and beyond.

Please be informed that our Medical Center Chief Dr. Afdal Kunting has not authorized any individual or group to solicit sponsorships or donations on behalf of ZCMC. Any such communication is unauthorized and fraudulent.
