Hemodialysis Unit, Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center Hemodialysis Unit The Homodialysis Unit is located at the ground floor of the hospital tower B. Purification of water is via reverse osmosis.

The Hemodialysis Unit is one of the specialized critical areas of the Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center that take care of patients who needs dialysis treatment for acute and chronic renal failure, both in – patients and out – patients service. It has 10 hemodialysis machines to accommodate patients needing dialysis, 2 of which machine is separated for patients with blood borne diseases. The unit is open 16 hours a day with 3 shifts scheduled for patients per day from Monday to Saturday. Sterilization and strict disinfection of the machine is done daily. Monthly culture of water reservoir is conducted. The unit has a nurse station equipped with emergency facilities for. Patients are provided with recreational facilities like an audio visual system and reading materials during the treatment period.
