2026 na at ang bilis ng panahon! Mula sa pagkabata, ngayon ay nagbibinata o nagdadalaga na ating mga anak na may Autism. Habang lumalaki, dumarami rin ang mga tanong natin: Paano sila magiging independent? Paano sila magkakatrabaho o bubuo ng sariling pamilya?

Huwag mag-alala, hindi niyo kailangang harapin ito nang mag-isa.

Inaanyayahan kayo ng PCMC Section of Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics sa "Level Up: Growing with Autism," isang espesyal na programa para sa mga magulang kung saan pag-uusapan natin ang mga hakbang para sa kanilang kinabukasan.

Massage therapy is okay if the prior insident was not traumatic (like nag cough and colds, dayun ipahilot para marelax or ga fever, okay lang)…. Pero if from an accident (natumba, natalisod, nadisgrasya, or unsa pa) — pls seek doctor’s consult first.

Bakit kay binibigyan ng Vit. K ang isang sanggol???

Alalahanin: lahat ng newborn po ay pinanganak na kulang ang vitamin K (responsible in preventing bleeding in the newborn) — paghindi binigyan ang isang sanggol ng Vit. K injection, mataas ang chansa nya na magbleeding and pwede nyang ikamatay 😔

Ano kaya ang pwede mangyari kung hindi natin Papabigyan ng vitamin K ang ating sanggol pagkasilang nito?

Lahat po ng newborn ay pinanganak na kulang ang vitamin K sa katawan kaya mataas ang chance na magkakaroon sya ng Vitamin K Bleeding Disorder (VKDB).

Ang VKDB ay isang condition kung saan magkakaroon ng biglaang (most of the time walang warning signs at buglaan) uncontrollable bleeding ang isang newborn sa brain, internal organs kagaya ng intestine at stomach, umbilical cord (kagaya ng nasa picture).

Kung hindi ito maagapan, pwede po magkaroon ng multi-organ failure, seizure, comatoes o kaya pwedemf ikamatay ito ng sanggol.

Feeding the baby right is important for their growth. They need to learn solids, and we caregivers are the ones responsible in introducing it to them. Let us help them 🩷

🍌 at 6-7 months — give them puree smooth
🍌 by 7-8 months — start them mashed bits
🍌 at 8-10 months — give them those little pieces
🍌 by 10-12 months — they can have those bigger chunks/whole

✅introduce soft, easy-to-swallow foods 👌
✅do FAMILY MEALS even from the first feeding (eat together as a family)
✅remember to give a good variety of healthy foods
