CME in Dentistry 2026 – Successfully Conducted

An insightful and engaging session on Rotary Endodontics was successfully conducted today 15 April 2026, enriching participants with foundational knowledge, clinical insights, and advanced concepts.

Tree Plantation Drive by BDS 1st & 2nd Year Students at Pir Sahab (Salhad) – 10 April 2026

On 10 April 2026, 1st and 2nd Year BDS students of Women Dental College Abbottabad actively participated in a Tree Plantation Drive, demonstrating great enthusiasm and a strong sense of environmental responsibility.

The activity was successfully carried out under the dedicated supervision of Dr. Azeem, Mam Sania, Mam Zoha, Ms. Neyar, and Mr. Daniyal, whose guidance made the initiative meaningful and well-organized.

We proudly appreciate the efforts of our students and faculty for contributing toward a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

Student Council Formed at Women Dental College – 9 April 2026

On 9 April 2026, the Student Council was successfully established at Women Dental College Abbottabad in the presence of Principal WDC Prof. Dr. Shahid Khan, Vice Principal WDC Prof. Dr. Talib Hussain, HOD DDER Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Qazi, Student Counselor Miss Sania Sohaib, and Class Representatives (CRs) from all batches. During the meeting, the Head Girl and Assistant Head Girl were also elected.

Interactive Workshop on PBL/SGF Strategies Conducted at WDC – 8 April 2026

On 8 April 2026, Women Dental College Abbottabad hosted an interactive workshop on “Interactive Learning Strategies for Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Small Group Facilitation (SGF)”. The session was led by Dr. Syed Muhammad Junaid, Assistant Professor at IHPER, KMU (BDS, M.Sc, MPHE – Gold Medalist).

The workshop covered key areas including PBL case design, effective facilitation techniques, student engagement methods, and formative assessment strategies. Faculty and staff from the Dental College and Rehmat memorial hospital participated.

Certificates were distributed to all participants. A commemorative shield was presented to Dr. Syed Muhammad Junaid by Director Academics Dr. Qazi Adnan Bashir and Assistant Director & HOD DDER Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Qazi.

JIHA CME Program 2026: Strengthening Clinical Excellence:

A meeting was held in the Multipurpose Conference Room to finalise Jinnah International Hospital Abbottabad (JIHA)’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program 2026, aimed at strengthening doctors' clinical knowledge and skills to improve patient care.

The meeting was chaired by Hospital Director Dr. Qazi Adnan Bashir and facilitated by Hospital Administrator Dr. Haroon Ur Rasheed and Assistant Director Dr. M. Abdullah Qazi. Senior specialists, including Prof. Dr. Munir Noor (General Medicine), Prof. Dr. Rubina Bashir (Gynaecology), Prof. Dr. Atif Iqbal (General Surgery), and Dr. Saqib Ali (Neurology), participated along with representatives from the Departments of Medical & Dental Education, QEC, HR, and Academic Coordination.

During the session, Dr. M. Abdullah Qazi presented the CME in JIHA 2026 program, and through consultation with departmental experts, the annual CME schedule was finalised.
