Seminar : "From Quran in Hearts to Quran on Shelves – How We Lost Our Way"

On 11th August 2025, the Women's Debate & Public Speaking Society of Women Dental College Abbottabad organized an inspiring seminar in the main auditorium at 10:30 AM. The session was delivered by Mr. Tuaha ibn Jalil from Youth Club, who shared a thought-provoking talk on rediscovering the true essence of the Quran and integrating its guidance into our daily lives.

Students of 1st and 2nd Year BDS actively participated, engaging in meaningful discussions on spiritual awakening and intellectual revival. The seminar served as a powerful reminder to keep the Quran alive in our hearts and actions, not just on our shelves.

Community Dentistry Team Educates 470 Children on Dental Care

On 11 August 2025, the Department of Community Dentistry from Women Dental College Abbottabad organized a dental health initiative at The Educators School, Junior Campus.

The program screened 470 children and delivered comprehensive oral hygiene education, including proper brushing techniques and preventive care.

Through collaboration with Colgate, goody packs containing oral hygiene products were distributed to all participants.

Faculty and 2nd-Year BDS students ensured the event's success, fostering early oral health habits among schoolchildren.

Women Dental College students attended the awareness seminar on Narcotics Control and Mental Health in Abbottabad.

In the presence of Commissioner Hazara Fayaz Ali Shah, DPO Umar Tufail, Deputy Commissioner Sanaullah Khan, distinguished guests, and civil society members, students pledged to build a drug-free society. 🚭✨

Workshop on Enhancing Asssessments in Health Professions Education

An engaging and forward thinking workshop focused on redefining assessment strategies to align with modern education goals in health professions was conducted by Assist.Prof.Dr Nowshad Asim Khyber Medical University Peshawar on 6th August,2025 and organized by Exam Cell.

Through collaborative dialogue, expert facilitation, and practical insights, participants explored innovative approaches to ensure that assessment truly reflects student competence, critical thinking, and readiness for clinical practice.

Tree Plantation Drive at Women Dental College

On 1 August 2025, 3rd Year BDS students actively participated in a Tree Plantation Day under faculty supervision.

Dr. Abdullah graced the event, commending students' commitment to environmental sustainability.

A total of 250 saplings were planted across the campus.

This initiative contributes to WDC's ongoing green Pakistan mission.

Workshop on Veneers: A Step-by-Step Guide to Aesthetic Dentistry Excellence

A highly successful and academically enriching workshop on veneers was conducted by Department of Prosthodontics by Assist. Prof. Dr Afnan Rahman on 26th July 2025, organized under the auspices of the Continuing Medical Education program of Women Dental College.

The session provided in-depth knowledge and practical insights into advanced veneer techniques, contributing significantly to professional development in aesthetic dentistry.

Participants included dental professionals and postgraduate trainees who actively engaged in clinical demonstrations and discussions, making the event a great success.
