WMC, WDC & WIL&RS Delegation Advances Digital Transformation in Health Education – 5 January 2026

A delegation from Women Medical College, Women Dental College, and Women Institute of Learning & Rehabilitation Sciences visited Cyber Advance Solutions in Lahore to finalize a contract for a Complete Software Solutions (CAS) deployment, including an integrated Learning Management System (LMS).

The delegation included Dr. M. Abdullah Qazi (BDS, MMEd, PhD), Mr. Asad Ali (LMS Manager), and Mr. Bilal (Network Administrator). They met with Cyber Advance Solutions' General Manager Haseeb Khan, Deputy Manager Sales & Marketing Rao Abdul Wahid, Additional Manager Sales & Marketing Skindar Hayat, Senior Marketing Executive Daniyal Akmal, and Deputy Manager Support & Implementation Bilawal Maqsood.

This initiative marks a major step in digital transformation, promoting self-directed learning, streamlined communication, and reduced administrative workload. We thank all institutional leaders and stakeholders for their support in advancing health professions education.

On 4 December 2025, Prof. Dr. Salma Aslam Kundi (Principal WMC) and Prof. Dr. Shahid Khan (Principal WDC) organised a special ceremony to honour all the staff members whose hard work and dedication made our convocation a great success.

Their efforts were recognised with prizes and certificates as a token of appreciation.

We were honoured to have Director Transport Mr. Asif Khan Jadoon as our chief guest, who appreciated everyone’s contribution.

He also presented certificates and prizes to our principals and praised their exceptional leadership, reminding us that this success was only possible because of their guidance.

QEC KMU organized the Quality Award Ceremony on 27 November 2025, where Women Dental College proudly secured 3rd position among all the affiliated medical and dental colleges of Khyber Medical University.


Women Dental College is the only dental college among the affiliated dental colleges to stand in the top thre positions., making this achievement truly remarkable.

Dr. M. Abdullah Qazi, Head of the Department of Dental Education & Research (DDE&R), along with Dr. Dur e Saman (DDE&R), Miss Mehwish (Exam Controller), Miss Sania Shoaib (Clinical Psychologist), and Mr. Yasir (Office Attendant), attended the International Conference on Future of Healthcare (FHCC 2025) and participated in the Hands-on Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Instrument Development held in Islamabad on 30th & 31st October 2025.

Special thanks to the organisers, especially Dr. Jasim and Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq (Vice Chancellor, KMU), for their outstanding efforts in arranging this impactful event.

Community Dentistry Awareness Camp Report – 28th October 2025

The Department of Community Dentistry, Women Dental College Abbottabad, organized a Dental Health Awareness Camp at Roots International School & College, Abbottabad, on 28th October 2025.

The camp, arranged by Dr. Imran Shah (Head of Department, Operative Dentistry), aimed to promote oral health awareness and preventive dental care among students.

The team — Dr. Samreen Rehman, Dr. Zara Khan (Lecturers, Community Dentistry), Dr. Zainab (Medical Officer, Operative Dentistry), and Lab Assistant Adeel — conducted dental check-ups, oral health education sessions, brushing technique demonstrations, and dietary counseling. Oral hygiene kits were distributed to encourage regular brushing habits.

The activity was well received by students and staff. The department extends gratitude to Dr. Imran Shah and the Roots International School & College administration for their support and cooperation. 🦷

🎓 Dr.Dur e Saman and Dr.Momina Tahir from the Department of Dental Education and Research WDC, had the privilege of attending the 9th International Conference on Health Professions Education and the 1st International Conference on Nursing and Midwifery on 24th & 25th October 2025 at University of Lahore.

It was an honor for Dr. Dur e Saman to present research paper by Asst Professor Dr. M Abdullah Qazi titled “A Need-Based Faculty Development Program in Women Medical and Dental College”, among distinguished educators and professionals from across the region.

Final Year BDS Pre-Professional Examination Meeting – 15 October 2025

On 15 October 2025, a meeting of all Heads of Departments and the Class Representative of Final Year BDS was held in the Conference Room of Rehmat Memorial Postgraduate Dental Hospital. The session focused on finalizing the date and preparatory arrangements for the Final Year BDS Pre-Professional Examination.
