A crash activity planning meeting for February 2026 was held under the chairmanship of the District Health Officer Badin. During the meeting, all EPI supervisors were directed to ensure intensified outreach vaccination activities, with special focus on covering defaulter children and those aged 24–59 months, as well as vaccination in infected/high-risk areas. He further instructed all EPI staff to maintain proper supervision and monitoring throughout the February 2026 crash activity.

*INAUGURATION CEREMONY & POLIO AWARENESS WALK FOR NID FEB 2026*

An Inauguration and Polio Awareness Walk was successfully organized at Civil Hospital Badin to reinforce the commitment towards polio eradication and to sensitize the community on their importance. The event was led by the *Deputy Commissioner Badin, Mr. Yasir Bhatti,* accompanied by ADHO Dr. Waseem and SSP Mr. Qamar Raza, reflecting strong district-level leadership and inter-departmental coordination.

A special appearance was made by the *Chairman District Council & President PPP District Badin, Mr. Ali Asghar Halepoto,* who emphasized collective responsibility and community ownership in achieving polio-free status.

The walk witnessed wide participation from multiple stakeholders, including representatives of the Health Department (LHS, LHWs, and Medical Officers), all Assistant Commissioners, Indus Hospital, partner NGOs, community influencers, Education Department, Social Welfare Department (SWD), and Local Government Department.

The activity demonstrated strong multi-sectoral collaboration and reaffirmed the district’s commitment to intensifying awareness, addressing refusals, and ensuring full coverage during upcoming polio campaigns.

Day 2 of MR and OPV vaccination campaign*

District Health Officer Badin, Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Abbasi, visited the Outreach Teams of Taluka Badin. During the field visit, several operational gaps were identified. On-job training was immediately provided to the teams to address and rectify these gaps, and clear instructions were given to ensure improved performance and strict compliance in the upcoming days.
