Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJK State Branch was established in 2001 under Pakistan Red Crescent Society Act, 1920 (Act XV of 1920). PRCS AJK State Branch is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the situation of the most vulnerable in Pakistan. PRCS is a national society and member of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), as part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has been implementing different programs including Disaster Management, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Community Based Health & First Aid (CBHFA), Mines Risk Education Program (MRE), to make the communities more resilient and safer in the country since 2006. At the same time the RC RC Movement has a variety of mechanisms or tools at its disposal to support disaster response. They are designed to ensure that delivery of assistance is fast and efficient to the disaster affected communities through the provision of support in shelter, Food, health, WATSAN, and other basic needs.
