Orientation Program for MPhil & PhD Scholars at CUVAS, Bahawalpur
The Department of Breeding & Genetics and the Department of Genomics & Bioinformatics organized an insightful orientation session for newly admitted MPhil and PhD students. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mazhar Ayaz graced the ceremony as Chief Guest, appreciating the initiative and highlighting the importance of aligning research and curriculum with modern scientific needs.

Dean FAPT Prof. Dr. Faiz-ul Hassan, Registrar Dr. Faisal Siddique, and esteemed faculty members Dr. Muhammad Safdar, Dr. Arslan Sehgal, Dr. Muhammad Azhar, and Ms. Humaira Amin also participated.
Prof. Dr. Faiz-ul Hassan emphasized the role of genetics, genomics, nutrigenomics, and IVF technology in improving local livestock breeds, encouraging students to contribute through research and innovation.

🎀 World Breast Cancer Awareness Day 2025 🎀

Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS) Bahawalpur organized an insightful and awareness-filled session on Breast Cancer Prevention, Detection & Protection, under the supervision of Madam Rizwana Sultan.

Honorable Prof. Dr. Mazhar Ayaz (Vice Chancellor, CUVAS Bahawalpur) graced the event with his participation and appreciated the efforts of the organizing team for promoting health awareness among women.

Guest speakers included:
Dr. Samina Ejaz, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (IBBB), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur
Dr. Sidra Aleem, Consultant Breast and Laparoscopic Surgeon / Assistant Professor Surgery, QAMC Bahawalpur

The session highlighted the importance of early detection, timely diagnosis, and community awareness in fighting breast cancer.
