From Job Seekers to Job Creators
A Transformational Step at CHOLISTAN University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur
CHOLISTAN University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur has taken a transformative step toward promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, reflecting the visionary leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mazhar Ayaz. The core objective of this vision is to develop graduates who are financially independent, confident, critical thinkers, and effective decision-makers—not merely job seekers, but job creators.
In line with this vision, the University successfully organized the Second Cholistan Entrepreneurial Expo 2026, which emerged as a vibrant hub of innovation and creativity. The Expo witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of five different universities, as well as numerous colleges, along with a large number of visitors from across the city who showed keen interest in student-led entrepreneurial initiatives.
The Expo featured more than 60 student-led stalls, showcasing innovative, practical, and market-oriented business ideas developed by young entrepreneurs. It provided a hands-on, experiential, and industry-linked platform, enabling students to move beyond traditional classroom learning and engage directly with real-world business environments, market dynamics, and practical challenges.
A significant number of participating students belonged to middle- and lower-income backgrounds, many of whom presented their business ideas on a professional platform for the first time. Despite this, students demonstrated remarkable confidence, clarity, and professionalism—reflecting their intellectual growth, creativity, and entrepreneurial potential.
The successful organization of the Second Cholistan Entrepreneurial Expo 2026 highlights that when universities—particularly CHOLISTAN University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences—go beyond conventional teaching models and provide vision, mentorship, and opportunity, students emerge not as job seekers, but as job creators.
The University administration extends heartfelt appreciation to all participating universities, colleges, student startup teams, visitors, and organizers for their dedication, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. These young innovators truly represent the foundation of a prosperous, self-reliant, and forward-looking Pakistan.
