e. It enjoyed this status till 1954 when the state was abolished to form one unit by the orders of Government of Pakistan. Apparently Bahawalpur is a typical cultural city of Pakistan, yet, Bahawalpur is a city of peace and freshness, calm and secure environment. In Bahawalpur, one can find the best educational, health, administrative and judicial institutions. Above all, the clean and peaceful environment of the city has made it worth living and grooming.
