Potohar Organic is a project of PODA. When you buy our organic products, you support our efforts.

Its purpose is to grow safe and clean food using organic practices, eat healthy, learn about nutrition and sell the surplus to earn money for women to continue with their work. The Rural Women Farmers Alliance (RWFA) is a group of women who meet once week in Chakwal to learn about new techniques in organic farming. The purpose of this study group is to grow safe and clean food using organic practices, eat healthy, learn about nutrition, and sell the surplus to earn money for the women to continue their work. RWFA is linked with the Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA), a Pakistani organization that gets their latest information from Cornell University School of Agriculture, USA and the Arid Agriculture University, Pakistan. PODA shares information on best practices in organic agriculture with women farmers and youth in the villages and assists them in marketing their produce.

Harvesting season is here!
PODA Organic harvests its first crops of the year.
Onion & Garlic were grown at the Mirza Arif Community Agriculture Model Farm. The Farm is primarily run and maintained by women as part of our Women Empowerment program.
Our total harvest is 80kg Onions and 36kg Garlic

Rate:
Organic Onions: PKR100/kg
Organic Garlic: PKR 200/kg

All proceeds go to the women farmers who toiled the fields everyday making sure that the crops grow healthy.
