ess and drugs addiction and to introduce them a new lifestyle free of drugs and psycho-Social problems. Treatment and Rehabilitation is provided through an Eclectic approach as well as Therapeutic Community Model that includes education, counseling, functional literacy and life and living skills etc. Rehabilitation Program gives hope to individuals and families suffering from mental illness & drugs addition. Given the magnitude of mental health and drug abuse problem in Pakistan and in the region generally, it also remains the vision and continuing quest of to eventually set up a drug-free society with much larger intake capacity for treatment and all stages of rehabilitation including mental, social, vocational and economic rehabilitation. Such institute could effectively cater to the colossal national as well as international need of effectively curing the curse of drug addiction and mental health problems. The institute and Psyche Clinic can also develop a parallel/separate treatment and rehabilitation facility based on the therapeutic community methodology for women as well. Mental health is the most neglected faculty in the health department in Pakistan, there is no psychosocial rehabilitation institution run by the ministry of health. Even the treatment facilities to the persons with mental illness are not available in the district head quarter hospitals. Majority of the public is unaware about the mental health problems even the most educated people consult to Peers, Palmists and Magicians for the treatment, it means, we are still living in the Stone Age regarding to understand the nature of mental health problems and their remedy. In Dark Age people used to consult to the Religious Stakeholders and Magicians for the solution of their health problems. Every day psychosocial and economic stresses result in somatic and mental illness. Hence every one needs assistance at some stage of life, some need it constantly while other need it only at rare intervals at times of great crises like war against militancy in the northern areas of Pakistan or Flood and. Earth Quick There are 15 to 20 % persons with neurotic and 2% with psychotic problems. In view of such situation it is planed to provide psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation services to the community and other persons with drug dependency ‘learning disabilities and mental illness by the qualified professionals. Psyche Clinic has treated patients who belong to a low economic status, most of them were treated free of cost and some on subsidized rate that were legible to pay their expenses according to their income resources.
