We are thrilled to announce that after a inspection on January 28th & 29th, 2026, the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) has officially recognized the postgraduate programs at Dera Ghazi Khan Medical College & Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital!
Under Section 25 of the PM&DC Act-2022, our institution is now authorized to offer specialized training in a wide range of medical and surgical fields, including:
MS Programs: Anesthesia, General Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Urology.
MD Programs: Radiology, Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, and Cardiology.
Diplomas: Anesthesia, Gynae & Obs, Clinical Pathology, Child Health, Psychiatry, and Cardiology.
FCPS & MCPS Fellowships and Memberships in numerous specialties through CPSP.

Important Visit & High-Level Meeting at D.G. Khan Medical College

Today, Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education, Khawaja Salman Rafique, alongside Azmat Mahmud, Secretary of the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, along with the Deputy Commissioner of D.G. Khan, visited D.G. Khan Medical College and Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital (AITH), Dera Ghazi Khan.

During the visit, key discussions were held regarding:

✅ Overcoming deficiencies at DGKMC and AITH
✅ Improving healthcare facilities and academic standards

Inauguration of Stroke Management at Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital

We are proud to announce the inauguration of the Stroke Management Bay at Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital, a significant step forward in emergency stroke care.

The inauguration was led by Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education, Khawaja Salman Rafique, alongside Azmat Mahmud, Secretary of the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department.

The event was also graced by Prof. Dr. Bilal Saeed, worthy Principal of D.G Khan Medical College, who reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to life-saving medical services.
