Suggestion for a weekend activity: Bake a tasty cake AND share an image and your recipe with the community 🎂🍰🎖️

In 2022, HAE Scandinavia invited its members to bake an hae day:-) cake. Last year, HAEi's Director, Research, Debs, made cupcakes with purple frosting as part of the hae day:-) activity challenge. This year, we invite you to also bake your favorite cake as part of the challenge. And if you want to, share an image of the result and the recipe in the comments of this post.

Using the new hae day:-) section of the HAE Companion app, it is easy to also submit your activity to the challenge and include an image for the gallery on the haeday.org website.

Week 2 of the hae day:-) activity challenge is on – and we are definitely in purple this year 💜

It's been 10 days, and people from 29 countries around the world have already submitted more than 860 activities to the challenge, adding up to more than 11,000,000 steps 😁 🙌

Keep going – and join us if you haven't submitted an activity yet. All kinds of activities count – physical as well as wellbeing! 📖 🏋️‍♂️ 🧘‍♀️ 🏃🌺🚴🎨🎸🙌

And keep uploading your images – we love to see your activities and the creativity of how to be in purple (and all other colors) 📷

The first-ever Global Angioedema Leadership Conference is underway 😁 🙌

We’re excited to kick off this joint HAEi and ACARE event with Tony Castaldo, Henrik B***e Boysen, and Markus Magerl on stage, welcoming around 800 participants representing 90 countries worldwide.

Let’s ‘Make a Difference’ for HAE patients around the world.

We encourage everyone to participate in physical and wellbeing activities and to use purple to show support 💟 📖 🏋️‍♂️ 🧘‍♀️ 🏃🌺🚴🎨🎸

If you have a profile, you can set a new 2026 personal target for the number of activities you want to complete during the challenge. Each time you log an activity, it counts towards your goal and helps you stay consistent. Your profile’s totalizer feature shows your progress – and you earn a new badge once you’ve hit your target!

❗300 million people worldwide live with a rare disease. 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 50,000 of them have HAE – hereditary angioedema – a very rare, potentially life-threatening genetic disease ❗

Though we are small in numbers, we are very active, creating awareness of HAE and making governments, physicians, and the general public aware of the disease and how it affects our lives to improve time to diagnosis and advocate for approval and reimbursement of lifesaving therapies.

With over 100 Member Organizations worldwide, we are represented in almost every corner of the world, and the number continues to rise 🙌 🌍
