Pakistan is an agricultural country. our agri-fields cover with crop mostly round the year. vegetable fields, orchids, herbal plants and agronomic crops. when crops at their blooming time, scene is so wonderful , never forgettable moments spend with this blooming. so we want to explore the beauty of agri-fields. Agriculture now moves in to field of tourism and entertainment farming. Agri-Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan pioneer company in pakistan organizing agricultural events,agri-field trips and field activities,agri-field picnic party for school kids and community. First day Successfully Held at Rana Resort, Nankana Sahib
Nankana Sahib, Pakistan – March 31, 2026
The 2nd National Bamboo Conference 2026, organized by Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan in collaboration with Baba Guru Nanak University, NRP Washington DC Group, and Rana Resort & Safari Park, was successfully held with great enthusiasm and participation from across the country.
The conference was organized under the theme:
“Bamboo as a Sustainable, Eco-Friendly and Economically Viable Resource for Green Industrial Development, Environmental Resilience, and Climate Adaptation in Pakistan.”

Begum Nasira Shoukat Rana, CEO of Rana Resort, appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of integrating bamboo into sustainable tourism and green infrastructure.
Shahab Qarni expressed strong support from overseas Pakistanis, highlighting the importance of global collaboration in developing Pakistan’s green sectors.

In his keynote address, Prof. Dr. Imran Shahid emphasized the critical role of academia in promoting bamboo research, innovation, and industry linkages. He assured full support from Baba Guru Nanak University in developing bamboo-based academic and research initiatives.

The technical sessions, moderated by Dr. Muhammad Adeel Ghafar, covered diverse aspects of bamboo development:
Sajid Iqbal Sandu discussed bamboo as a strategic resource for climate adaptation and economic transformation.
Ghulam Rasool Pakistani National Bamboo Ambassador highlighted hir work for sajar dost and bamboo’s role in environmental sustainability and industrial growth.
Prof. Dr. Kafeel Ahmad emphasized bamboo’s importance in sustainable industrial development.
Raheen Nasir Shah and Mansoor Cheema shared practical insights on bamboo farming and eco-friendly industrial practices in Sindh.
