graces the AED Machine Distribution Ceremony at KADO.
In a significant stride towards enhancing emergency healthcare services in Hunza, the Karakorum Area Development Organization (KADO), in collaboration with the District Health Office (DHO) Hunza, hosted an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Machines Distribution Ceremony. Honorable Minister for Information Technology, Madam Suraiya Zaman, graced the event as the Guest of Honor, underscoring the commitment of Gilgit-Baltistan's government towards healthcare advancements.
The event marked a pivotal moment in KADO's Health and Wellness Initiatives, as 30 AED machines, generously donated by the NSW Health Department, Australia, were distributed across various basic health units in Hunza. These devices, vital in cardiac resuscitation, are a testament to the region's dedication to saving lives and enhancing emergency response capabilities.
A highlight of the ceremony was the AED Basic Life Support (BLS) training program, meticulously conducted by KADO in partnership with the DHO Office Hunza. This program equipped health department staff with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the AED machines, ensuring preparedness for cardiac emergencies.
Madam Suraiya Zaman , representing the Gilgit-Baltistan government, expressed profound appreciation for KADO's relentless efforts and the DHO Office's contribution to healthcare. "Today marks a milestone in our journey towards a healthier Hunza. The collaboration between KADO, the DHO Office, and the generous support from the NSW Health Department, Australia, exemplifies our collective resolve to enhance healthcare accessibility and emergency responsiveness," stated Madam Zaman.
