Growing up, I believed that hard work and passion could break barriers.

I used to think my low energy and mood swings during Ramadan were just from fasting...until I learned it was my gut talking 🤯

~During Ramadan, long fasting hours, dehydration and heavy meals can cause our gut out of balance😬

👉Did you know 90% of serotonin (happy hormone) is made in the gut? That means an unhappy gut can lead to:

😴 Low energy and brain fog
😖 Mood swings and stress
😵 Bloating and discomfort

So, I made a few simple changes:

🥦 Better Suhoor & Iftar – More fiber, protein and healthy fats in meals
💧 Drinking more water – No more headaches or sluggishness
🧘‍♀️ Mindful eating – Eating slowly reduced bloating & stress
❤️ Letting go of negativity – Because stress affects digestion too
🔄 Trying one gut-friendly habit each week – Small steps means, big impact.

Now, my Ramadan feels lighter, calmer and more fulfilling😄

Taking care of your gut doesn’t have to be complicated😵

~It’s actually about making small changes that are easy to stick with over time!

🌱For example, start by adding more fiber-rich foods to your meals- things like beans, fruits and vegetables.These are not only good for your gut, but they’ll keep you feeling full and energized.

😇Next, think about including some fermented foods like kefir, yogurt or even pickles. These foods are packed with probiotics, which are the “good” bacteria your gut loves

🧊And don’t forget about water! Staying hydrated is key to helping your digestive system work smoothly.

🍬 Limit Processed foods like chips, sugary snacks,burgers, pizzaa— as these junk foods are often loaded with unhealthy saturated fats and artificial preservatives. They might be convenient, but they can really mess with your gut, causing inflammation and digestive issues.

THE GOAL?

"A happy, healthy gut that helps you feel your best every day!"☺️

✓ Here, Fiber is one of those fuels, but did you know there are two types of it—Soluble and Insoluble?

In Simple Words, we can say

~ SOLUBLE FIBER is like a "sponge". It absorbs water and turns into a gel that slows down digestion, helping to control blood sugar and lower cholesterol. Foods like oats, beans and apples are great sources of this type

~INSOLUBLE FIBER is like a "scraper". It doesn’t absorb water, but it sweeps through your digestive system, helping to keep things moving and preventing constipation. You’ll find this type in whole grains, nuts and vegetables

➡️ Both types of fiber are important for keeping your body in balance!

So, next time you’re eating, make sure you’re getting both! Your body will feel the difference.🤞

Most of the people think they should not eat certain food combinations(like, fruit and meat) at the same meal, because the digestive system can't handle more than one task at a time, is a MYTH!

↪️ The art of "food combining"—which actually emphasizes "food separating"–is based on this myth.

In fact, the contrary is often true; foods eaten together can enhance each other's use by the body✨

↪️ For Example, Vitamin C in bell peppers and tomatoes can enhance absorption of iron from a meal of beans and rice or other iron-containg foods.

✓Choking:
-Take small bites of food
-Chew thoroughly before swallowing
-Don't talk or laugh within food in your mouth
-Don't eat when breathing hard

✓Diarrhea
-Avoid strenuous activity
-Take rest
-Drink fluids to replace losses
-Eat soft,bland foods like white rice, bananas & toast

✓Constipation
-Eat a high fiber diet like whole grains,fruits, vegetables,nuts & seeds
-Drink plenty of fluids
-Exercise regularly
-Respond promptly to the urge to defecate

✓Heartburn
-Eat small meals
-Drink liquids between meals
-Sit up while eating,elevate your head when lying down
-Avoid foods and carbonated beverages that aggravate heartburn
Common irritants are: fried or high fat foods,spicy sauces,citrus fruits & juices
-Lose weight if overweight

REMEMBER!
"What's eating you" may cause more GI distress than what you eat.😬
