Trainees Call Training a Major Milestone in Their Professional Journey
A four-member group of Palestinian medical trainees has successfully completed its training at the Ayesha Bashir Trust Hospital (Cleft Hospital Pakistan), located at the Ayesha Bashir Complex in Gujrat. The trainees Roba H. M. Abuamer, Samya G. A. Ammar, Hala M. A. Saed, and Farah H. M. Abuamer described the experience as a major milestone in their professional lives.
During the training program, the trainees received hands-on clinical experience in the field of cleft care at Cleft Hospital Pakistan. Alongside clinical work, they also spent time at the head office of the Pakistan Cleft Lip and Palate Association, where they gained valuable insight into welfare-based healthcare management and medical administration.
At the completion ceremony, Assistant Commissioner of Gujrat Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon presented certificates to the trainees and congratulated them on successfully completing the program. Host and Founder of the Pakistan Cleft Lip and Palate Association, Dr. Ijaz Bashir, also extended his warm congratulations and shared his best wishes for their future professional endeavors.
Speaking on behalf of the group, batch leader Dr. Roba H. M. Abuamer thanked the Pakistan Cleft Lip and Palate Association and Cleft Hospital Pakistan for providing a unique learning environment. She noted that receiving training in treatment, patient management, and teamwork under one roof was a rare opportunity. The trainees also shared that the spirit of compassion and humanitarian service demonstrated by Dr. Ijaz Bashir and his team left a lasting impression on them.
Addressing the ceremony, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon said that Cleft Hospital Pakistan is among the country’s leading medical institutions and that offering training to Palestinian medical professionals reflects Pakistan’s solidarity and close bonds with Palestine.
Dr. Ijaz Bashir, in his remarks, emphasized that medical professionals should always uphold two essential values: excellence in professional skills and an unwavering commitment to serving humanity. He added that selfless service to mankind plays a vital role in promoting peace, understanding, and harmony across the world.
