On 27 January 2026, Isra University Hospital, Hyderabad conducted an Academic Presentation Session focused on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and its management. The program was organized by the Department of Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adnan Bawany, Chairperson and Head of the Department of Medicine.
An academic presentation was delivered by Dr. Inshal Awan on the topic:
“Glimepiride + Metformin in Type 2 Diabetes Management: From Clinical Studies to Bedside Practice.”
The presentation emphasized evidence-based therapeutic strategies, clinical trial data, and practical decision-making in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Following the presentation, Prof. Dr. Adnan Bawany summarized and elaborated on the topic, highlighting real-world clinical application and patient-centered treatment approaches. Dr. Ghulam Fareed shared valuable academic reviews and insights, further enriching the discussion.
Dr. Sajjad Kazi, Director IUH, delivered his remarks, appreciating the efforts of the academic and clinical teams and underscoring the importance of continuous professional development and lifelong learning. Prof Dr. Akbar Memon also shared his remarks, highlighting the significance of structured academic activities and evidence-based therapeutic choices in improving clinical outcomes and strengthening patient care.
