The Postgraduate Symposium on Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) held on February 28, 2024 by OBGYN Dept BMC. The symposium aimed to facilitate learning, collaboration, and in-depth discussions on a variety of cases in OBGYN.
Sixteen postgraduate students from different institutes presented a diverse range of intriguing and challenging cases from their clinical experiences. Cases included rare diagnoses, complex management decisions, and ethical dilemmas.
The heart of the symposium was the panel discussions that followed the case presentations. Panels consisted of Seniors professors from different specialties and institutes including BMC, LUMHS, ISRA, Indus medical college, AKMCC and HMC.
Topics ranged from “Challenges in Managing High-Risk Pregnancies,” to very rare cases in gynecology oncology offering a comprehensive view of the complexities faced in OBGYN practice.
One hundred fifty Attendees actively participated in Q&A sessions, contributed to a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences.
The symposium concluded with key outcomes and recommendations:
Highlighting the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in managing complex OBGYN cases.
Advocating for continued education and training in emerging technologies and treatment modalities.
Encouraging the sharing of best practices and challenging cases to enhance learning and patient care.
