International Women’s Day 2025 – Accelerating Action in Gastroenterology

At the Center for Liver and Digestive Diseases, Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi, we are proud to have already made significant strides in gender representation. With nine female consultant gastroenterologists and interventional endoscopists and seven female endoscopy technicians, we stand as a testament to progress in a traditionally male-dominated field.

While this year’s theme, "Accelerate Action," calls for advancing women’s roles, we celebrate the fact that we are already leading the way. Our focus now is to empower, mentor, and inspire the next generation of women in medicine, ensuring sustained progress in gastroenterology and interventional endoscopy.

Together, we continue to break barriers and set new benchmarks in patient care and innovation.
