I remember the first time I got onto the stage for my presentation. I was shivering but that didn't stop me. I completed my presentation and got the highest marks among the class.
I remember my first talk in an auditorium full of people. I was talking and I wasn't able to hear my own self. I was just saying the right things (I believe). That didn't stop me. I completed my first talk.
I remember my first history taking in front of the panel of senior clinical psychologists. I was so anxious and my feet were totally frozen. But that didn't stop me. I got a round of claps as an appreciation from my seniors. I did my first history taking.
I remember my first demonstration as a Therapist on a stage in front of all the audience. I was trying to convince myself that only I'm there in a room and let's do it. I was afraid of not doing it in the right way. But that didn't stop me and I did my first demonstration.
I remember my teachers made me read the chapter standing in front of the whole class in school/college. Because my voice tone was quite low and they asked me to speak up LOUDLY. I really struggled with that. But that didn't stop me. Being a therapist & coach, my voice should be calming, and I did turn it into my strength.
I remember almost all my firsts. Do you know why? Because these events gave me major lessons. And you know what that was?
"Uzma! whatever you're afraid of not being able to do, and you want to do that, YOU CAN & YOU WILL DO THAT" Alhamdulillah ⭐
That's how you learn. That's how you should learn. That's how I'll keep learning. Insha'Allah.
I hope this will help 1% of the people who are afraid of losing, who are not attempting because they feel they might not be succeeded. I hope it will reach you and help you. Stay Blessed!

TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAM - School # 02 !!
The Healing House conducted the Teachers Training Program at "Ghazali Girls College Islamabad" 🥳
It was 2 hours of training for teachers. The rationale was to advocate teachers about mental health and how they can identify the initial stressors in children. It also included a module about Linguistics and Learning/Teaching styles.
Our children spend more time with teachers these days. Teachers should have a good rapport with children.

How are memories created?
I believe, memories are the screenshots or reels of anything that happened. These memories are always saved in the album of our memory.
You must have an album at your home that has been in the safe locker for so long. And one day when you take it out and see all those pictures, it feels like you've lived the timeline again in that one moment.
Our mind has that locker as well. We need to create good memories and save it in the album of our life. You know when you visit that same place with so many memories, it feels nostalgic.
I had my amazing four years at IIUI. I am still connected to the majority of my fellows. Our group called "We 10" has loads of albums saved together. And much more. I visited a few days back at my university and it felt like home.
