I was 23 when I was diagnosed with a generalised anxiety disorder. I experienced heart palpitations often, everything seemed overwhelming and out of my control. Then I discovered yoga and within just a week of practicing, I noticed that my anxiety symptoms had subsided. This was not a co-incidence. Yoga has been scientifically proven to reduce anxiety systems by activating the parasympathetic nervous system of the body (also known as the ‘rest and digest’ system) and turning off the sympathetic nervous system of the body (which is the overthinking, hyper-vigilant mind)

Pranayama (breathing techniques), holding yoga asanas and stretching the muscles helps to achieve an equanimous state. Other benefits of yoga include toning, strength, flexibility, improved concentration and will power and weight management, youthfulness, nose breathing as opposed to mouth breathing and a sharper intuition.

I believe that if you aren’t doing yoga, you are missing out on something that can transform your life ✨

Thailand in Food:

People ask me how was the food there. In short, it was delicious - the taste, presentation and nutrition factor were off the charts. My favourite meal was the grilled fish on a banana leaf, it was super spicy and it got my mouth on fire but I couldn’t stop eating it lol thanks to the white rice for saving me from bursting into flames.

Other favourites were the prawn khao suey at the house by ginger.
The prawn in tomato sauce and squid ink spaghetti with sushi and hazelnut pastry in the Thai airways plane.
The buddha bowl at Mala Dhara (where I had my YTT)
The toast with passion fruit for breakfast at Mala Dhara
The mango and sticky rice dessert at a spa I went to. But the other foods in the pics were amazing too 💕😌
