I joined a Free Medical & Mental Health Camp organized by at Rawat. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet, listen, and connect with people from the community.

One moment that stood out was when a woman, initially hesitant and nervous to approach me, gathered the courage once she learned that a psychologist was available. When she saw no one else around, she came forward to share her painful experience of dealing with her husband’s extramarital affairs. I know how hard it is to open up about such deeply personal struggles, and her trust reminded me of the importance of creating safe spaces where people can express themselves without fear of judgment.

The cases I dealt with further highlighted the deep link between mental health and physical well-being:
■ Suppressed emotions manifesting as somatic complaints.
■ Persistent headaches triggered by ongoing stress.
■ Marital conflicts and betrayal leading to emotional turmoil and deteriorated personality.

This experience reinforced for me that behind every physical symptom there may be an untold story, and listening with empathy can be the first step toward healing.
