A challenging case successfully managed through teamwork, expertise, and timely diagnosis.

A 4-year-old child referred from Gilgit with a previous history of surgery for intestinal obstruction was evaluated at our OPD. Detailed investigations confirmed Hirschsprung’s Disease, and our colore**al surgery team successfully performed a Transanal Swenson Procedure.

The child is now recovering well and thriving, with stoma reversal planned as the next step to restore normal bowel continuity.

An 8-year-old child came to the OPD at the Child Surgical Foundation with a 4-year history of bleeding per re**um. After detailed evaluation, a re**al polyp was suspected and confirmed during proctosigmoidoscopy. The polyp was successfully removed (polypectomy) by Prof. Dr. Nadeem Akhtar.
After the procedure, the child has fully recovered with no further bleeding and is now doing well. Early diagnosis and timely surgical care can make a life-changing difference for children.
